@johnthetrevor Because we're a bunch of pampered, complacent moralist sycophants who get upset whenever we hear about someone, especially a child, living in pain or poverty in a less fortunate country. However, don't let yourself believe that we are actually compassionate; we're just spoon-fed the idea that there is absolute system of morality in the world, and we will do whatever we can to help, so long as it doesn't cost too much and doesn't actually involve us doing any work. Why is everybody upset with Canada? Why doesn't Vietnam pay for it? China performed a simular operation on a boy with a tumor that size, and the child died of complications shortly after. Great Britain just performed the operation on a boy with an 11lb. tumor; He"s still living. The proceedure is so complicated, dangerous, and expensive. It doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to figure out why Canada and the U.S. won't do it.
