This is awesome! Big respect for your engineering work here.. I've watched all your vids and its great to see it evolving from the "single shot one to this awesome machine. I'd love one simply for home defense as we aren't allowed to own guns here and shooting somebody in the face with a tennis ball at 220fps would certainly get their attention.
@RcTranMD Funny you should say that, because my personal cannon has a picatinny and a foregrip. It's real easy to mount to the aluminum extrusion. I'll have pics of it on the blog today.
Unfortunately out of my price range but I hope you sell enough of these to buy you some more tools. Are you an engineer by career or is this just a hobby?
@Rpp3r Yes I considered faster methods. It's impossible to over fuel. Ignition during fueling is possible. Although it's possible to damage the cannon doing this, in practice it rarely happens and has never caused a malfunction.
Sorry, I don't sell plans. You are welcome to buy a cannon, take it apart then put it back together. It's as fun as making it yourself but without having to do 2 years of R&D and making a bunch of stupid mistakes.
Looks good, and relatively simple. I might buy a couple for the paintball field, (anti-tank). 220 feet per second = 150 miles per hour +/-? But,if it hits a human, is a tennis ball at 220fps, a rib breaker or just a rib bruiser, at 30 yards?
$950 is a lot of money. This is a lot of gun. There is nothing jankey or halfass on it. It's all grade 8 socket head bolts and 6061-T6. If you think $950 is high, wait for the carbon fiber version. Ultamatespudgun has sold 3 in 6 months.
to make it more safe make it block the trigger when your pump it

You should get a weaver rail for the fore grip of standard m4s and mout it on It's usually cheap at airsoft stores

Why not use a grounded ignition when filling? So there is no chamber fire.
fiero86c 10 months ago
@fiero86c it would require an additional switch.

Did you consider any other method to refill faster combustion chamber?
Also, did you put any security valve, to prevent if anyone to shoot with too much gas, or still refilling?
good job

@trespasser002 - 150mph is the equivalent of a hot tennis serve. (world record is 163 mph) It hurts and will leave a whelp.
