quickshooter is right. And the D90 is a consumer-oriented piece of crap targeting soccer moms. D300, D700, D3 etc are all better cameras than the D90. Even the D200 in the video is better than the D90.
Cameras are only as good as the glass you've attached to them. The lens in the video is actually a consumer-grade Sigma. It's not even in their own EX line. Not a bad lens, but certainly not top of the line.
@Eggrocket Though the D90 is a consumer level camera doesnt mean its a piece of crap. #1 it is a good if you can't afford the more expensive bodies #2 it has the same sensor as the D300 (D90 and D300 are pretty close to the same with only several differences) #3 it is the photographer that matters more than the equipment ( though you can't always get the shot without some equipment) #4 it is called budget lenses. if you to buy a large pro lens it would be too expensive for most like myself.
allamericanguy01, you have it the wrong way around m8, the camera is only as good as the lens!! lenses are the most important factor ! get your facts right!
d300 only shares the same sensor as the d90!!! d90 is plastic,d300 is metal
d90 shoots 4.5fps,d300 shoots 6fps/8 with the bat grip, d300 has a far superior af system compared to d90, 51 focus points compared to 11 i think! d90 has no interval timer function, the d300 is a much better camera in terms of speed, build quality and functions it just lacks the vid mode which on the d90 is not that hot!
@RubenCraninx But you might want to upgrade the camera. Great, professional lens on a amateur camera, really wouldn't be a good mix. I would recommend upgrading to a D90 or a D300 (although the D300 is extremely similar to the D90, minus a few TINY TINY TINY upgrades that I doubt most people will complain about)
That's what I was worring about. As a student I don't have a large budget. If I bought the lens and use it on the D60 what would be diffrent with the d90? What should you do buy the lens and update later or buy a d90 or d300 first? I want to use the lens to shoot airshows, spotting, ...
@RubenCraninx Put it like this, the lens is only as good as the camera. With that being said, you really won't see different quality. The D60 quality only goes so high & this lens wouldn't be an exception. You can have a camera lens that AMAZING but if you're using a low quality camera, you're going to get low quality images regardless of the lens. I recommend buying the D90 over the D300.The D300 has the same exact spects has the D90. The D300 isn't really much of an upgrade. And you're welcome
what is this retarded video about? how about testing the lens instead of the frames per second of your camera.

Gets really good reviews... take it the
photo's are sharp as a tack.
