Kinda like a lot of bands these days...they SOUND good, and have a sophistication... that smells of over-achieving. Nothing there though that tickles my fancy...you know what I mean? All the right sounds, put together well...makes me shrug my shoulders in the end..and it's unfortunate as a listener. A lot of singer/songwriters do the same for me...bluesy type stuff, strings, the whole bit....SOUNDS good, but empty of, I guess, any balls...not TRYING to be a jerk..maybe THEY should try less.
