I can get my ipod touch to play a 720p youtube video. Its scaled down. The resolution is technically 720p but really its whatever the screen can handle.
@RichColours I understand what you mean. But in your case, YouTube won't "give" you a native 720p movie to your iphone. Youtube will send you a scaled down version.
In my video the iPhone gets an 720p encoded video file and is doing decode/scale by itself.

Thats impossible. The iphones screen was not made for this resolution and it can not support it. That is 720p scaled down.

@RichColours You are so smart ;) The thing is that the iPhone is fast enough to scale down a 720p video on the fly. So you don't have to reencode it.

Nice ! What about the audio ? Was there any skipping or stuttering in the audio ? What about prolonged playing ? Do stutters start to crop up ?
