Yeah it's too bad they went crap metal but the old stuff more than makes up for it. I mean just listen to this shit, it's great even now! Nobody sounded like this. Discharge is like running your hand through the cogs of some heavy machinery. But, like, in a good way.

Listen to the later albums Massacre Divine, Shootin up the world, and the self titled album. All of those are later albums and they kick ass and have all the elements of early discharge! The only bad album is Grave New World.

My copy is pressed by Toy's Factory and is mostly in Japanese. I don't know if this is the original label that produced the album, though. The stylized version the band's name inside also looks very metal and sort of stupid.

I was unfortunate enough to have seen them play Grave New World live in '86. It's the first time in my life that I've seen a headline act leave the stage after playing 4 songs because of all the bottles being thrown at them by the audience.

I saw GBH supporting Discharge three times in Birmingham in 1981 at the Cedar Club and once in 83 at Hanley Victoria Hall. Great gigs. I shall be seeing both bands at Sunderland and Newcastle in the New Year. Still great after all these years.
