wow thats alot of big fish! i think it is a little crowded, but as long as you get very good canister filters and do weekly water changes of 25%-40% you should be fine as long as they all can get along. Good luck and post a video when you get to that point i would love to see it.
Hi, can I keep an arowana in a 150 gallon tank for...the rest of its life?Or at least as long as it doesn't grow too big and still has space to move around.
@Jason11366 Yes I think it would be ok to keep an arowana in a 150 gallon tank its whole life as long as the tank is a 150 long, i feel that a 150 tall would not be the best choice because of the lack of swimming room. My silver is almost 26" long now and i need to upgrade badly. he still has room but is becoming agressive because of the lack of room. Please feel free to ask any thing else ill try to answer promply
Hi Bro, What do you feed your arowana - I have a 150G tank that is 63 inch long and about 22 inch deep - I have many medium sized african cichlid (peacocks, haps, severums, bleekeri, etc - 30 of them) and 1 silver arowana - the aro is doing great as of now and is only 10" - I feed it krill .. it does not eat pellets ... curious what do you feed and what do you think is the best way to get it to feed arowana sticks/ pellets? Thanks ahead ...
sorry it has been so long i am having computer issues. I will hopefully have an update for you in the next few days with any luck. Thank you for taking an interest in my tanks. and please feel free to ask any questions
I feed it a mixture of hikari cichlid pellets, both are cichlid gold, one is the colour enhancing floating pellets and the other is the complete and balanced diet sinking pellets. along with shrimp pellets and krill on occasion. I have another video to post that was from last week and he is even bigger. guessing about 16-17 inches now. thanx for the comments and good luck.
