  • THIS AA Meeting's for YOU!

  • DOES make a great ring tone .... download free from budweiser, just music no words, doesn't matter, still great.

  • good lord. i remember this from living in St. Louis. sad.

  • GO RANGERS!!!!

  • go cardinals

  • Heard this earlier on the radio because this song apparently represents St. Louis.

  • They should bring this jingle back. Very upbeat, catchy tune.

  • @Scoobalawn they play it at like every st. louis cardinals game, so its very much around

  • THey should have done a "pop up video" to this!

This commercial was filmed at Grants Farm in St Louis MO...

The Bud Clydesdales are stabled there.

Original Budweiser Christmas commercials takes me back to when it was simple!

  • For those of you who love this song, my friend wrote it out for tubas and baritones for us to play at every football game (sounds off because the instrument is trombone playing the song). Would love to hear some feedback about it. Just goto noteflight and search Budweiser Arr. by Loren David Quintanar

  • The catchiest of all the catchy jingles.

  • that would be a badass ringtone

  • always loved there clydesdale commercials. i've had this jingle in my head for weeks hehehe

  • this is a clasic and im not a beer dreanker .. note this jingle i had to hear it agine after i heard it from close incounters of the 3rd kind

  • "Here comes the King, here comes the Big Number One. Budweiser beer, The King is second to none. Just say Budweiser, you've said it all. Here comes the King of Beer, so lift your glass, let's hear the call. (when you say bud) Budweiser beer's the one that's leading the rest. (when you say bud) And beechwood aging makes the beer at its best. (WHEN YOU SAY BUD) One taste will telll you so loud and clear. There's only one BUDWeiser beer. When you say Bud you've said it all. Lararararahara"

  • A true classic.This tune is enduring.

  • A 40 second commercial? re: Clydsdales, the ad was filmed on Grant's Farm, Gussie Busch's estate in St. Louis County. Once the home of Gen. U.S. Grant. The gate with the split AB logo opens out onto Gravois Road in Affton MO. But the Busch's property is within "Grantwood Village". They used to keep some, not all, of the horses right down on the flatland fields across the road. People would constantly drive up just to see them, pet them. After the old man died, they moved them all to CA. Shame.

  • gfffffffffffffffffffffffff

  • they used to have anhiser now its imbev

  • @1blackopspro I stopped drinking Bud when it was sold to Euro-trash Imbev. Now I just drink Maker's Mark.

  • LOVE it! I downloaded this for free from Budweiser site to use as ring tone. I also have B&W pix from 30s and 40s of the Clydsdales; very cool.

  • Like this is Georgia Tech brought you here ;) GO JACKETS!

  • Those Clydesdales must have made Bud a fortune over the years.

  • I love this commercial, but there are two other Budweiser beers. Budweiser Burgerbrau and Budweiser Budvar, both Czech beers brewed in the city of Budweis.

  • 31...miller drinkers...yuk

  • Anheuser-Busch were always masters of effective advertising

  • :-0 is all i9 did

  • Ah!...that takes me back!...always loved this bud commercial.

  • It wasn't the jingls, it is the clydesdales!

  • @readmerrilee Yeah, I don't drink beer but I love those clydesdales!!!

  • Thx for that! Reminds me of my dad & my childhood! "When you say Bud, you've said it all..."

  • "When you say Bud, you've said it all..." Thx for that! Reminds me of my dad!

  • This is just one of the reasons I love living in ST. Louis. That was totally filmed at Grants Farm. Awesome!

  • Packers can suck it. Suck it long and hard.

  • Mid 70s at least. I remember watching it as a kid and still remember all the words.

  • What year was this, anybody know?

  • Best...Beer Truck...EVER!

  • Long live The King. I don't care who owns it, it's still my King.

Long live Bud, and long live St Louis!!

  • wow, I have had this jingle in my head for over 30 years. good memories of tv as a kid

  • I love those Clydesdales!

  • Wow thanks for that. I didn't know the song had lyrics all this time!

  • GO GEORGIA TECH!!

  • Just too bad the beer sucks

  • Is this the one in Close Encounters of the Third Kind?

  • @waterskippers - I can't believe you asked that. I just watched Close Encounters which is what prompted me to search for this. Wow...I'm pretty sure this is it.

  • @waterskippers this doesn't look like the one from "Close Encounter of the Third Kind". This is the original commercial, so that one was probably the second or third or something. The one in Close Encounters was a bit shorter with fewer words.

Thanks for posting! This is the first of the old Bud Clydesdale commercials I've seen.

  • wow i remember seeing that commercial on TV when I was little!! Really takes ya back dont it lmao... Love it!

  • I agree they should rerun this ad. They should rerun all their ads. They are great!

  • i drink bud and i need a boy to party with ;)

  • JJPearce Bud Band!

  • This has answered so many questions, including but not limited to the actual words to: da da da da da da da da da da da, do do do, da da da da da da da da da da da, do do do, da da da, do do do do, da da da da da da da da da da, do do do do ... and repeat; my fav Cardinal's (Clydesdale) song!

  • BUDZ THE BEST BEER FUCK YEAH!!!

  • I'm curious. Does anyone know exactly when in the 70's did this one first appear?

    Thank you, much!

  • @fmagloire1 If I am not mistaken, it was 1976.

  • @KenNelPetFood Thank you, much! Sounds about right!

  • @fmagloire1 "76, 77"

  • This is one of those commercials I actually waited for with antcipation when I was a kid. Thanks for YouTube and to scottm52 for posting. Now at age 45, I get to play these 42 seconds of Gingle Genius over and over again to see what it is about them that makes this so cool! Definitely effective at affirming their product!

  • Easily one of the best commercials ever made. Imagine a jingle sounding like award -winning music. Everything works well together in this one. Sound and visuals!

  • LOVE IT !

  • Wow, I had forgotten about this commercial. When I was a kid, I can remember sitting in amazement at the song and the horses and the quick-cuts between camera shots. Even after all these years, it really is still a great commercial.

  • its very cool and fantasik

  • Man.. Only if beer commercials still had this amount of sophistication.

  • i remember the commercial from when i was little, and also i believe it was in the background of a scene in "close encounters of the third kind".(i don't drink buweiser, i think it's the worst beer.)

  • @aardvark763 Yes! I remember this from Close Encounters too. I don't drink Bud either. I'm their worst customer -- a teetotaler.

  • Love hearing this at Busch Stadium on the organ...

  • Comment removed

  • Saw this as a kid. Man do I feel old.LOL They should bring back this jingle. One of the best of all.

  • my parents said that they watch this Commercial when they were kids

  • Oh my God, where did you find this? I saw this one when I was a kid!

  • This ad is awesome!!!....Full wagon of beer...guard dog...serious heavy horse power....where's the flaw??!! lol!

  • they should just rerun this add it still rocks

  • @silverdude3 I know!!! I used to love that comercial as a kid,and ironically I drink budweiser nowadays

  • LOL I'm now remember seeing that Budweiser commercial used in CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND...

    Anyone remember that?

  • WAIATA4U - Yes, I remember that one!

  • You bet. It was right before Roy Neary watches the news regarding a railway disaster near Devil's Tower, which connected him to the sculpture in his den.

  • @WAIATA4U I SHURE DO HA HA !!!!

  • Ah...great memories. I was only 9 when this one came out. It still holds up well.

  • This makes my budweiser blood boil!!! Corporate greed and arrogance has taken another great American Company and it will not be long before they will strip it of all that made it great! St. Louis will lose its Grants Farm and the Board room will do its best to do away with the Clydsdales!!

  • I agree with you, Of course they will get rid of the horses, why feed them when they can fill their fat asses with more money. The day they get rid of the clydesdales is the day I will put a huge sign in my front yard showing horse slaughter and instead of blood coming from the necks, make $ going up the asses of CEOs and a big red circle with a line around and through a bottle of BUD

  • yup- if you remember this-- YOU ARE OLD!!!

  • God I am old I remember this lolol

  • LET'S GO BLUES!

  • Great beer. Great commercial. A shame they are no longer American owned.

  • Now I will have that song in my head all day. Love those clydesdales!

  • Very catchy tune, love the fact that the song was created specifically for the beer commercial. I hate advertisers that rip off great music, and use it to sell crap products.

  • In Plymouth, Massachusetts, the "evening strole" took place. The clydesdales stroled through Plymouth center and delivered a case of Budweiser to every bar/restaurant w/ the same tune being played. The experience was incredible!

  • If this was on the air today, Budweiser would put Coors and Miller out of business.

    No question.

  • I loved the old fashion beer ads that used to play in the 60's....Schlitz, Pabst Blue Ribbon, etc.

  • Great ad campaign, very catchy song, and it's one of those original jingles. I like the fact that it's original, rather than cheapo ad campaings that rip off well established songs, and use them to sell crap products.

  • every time i think of this commercial i think of weed. "when you've said bud, you've said it all!"

  • It's a cracking good advert, but sadly for a "making love in a punt" kind of beer...

  • I have always loved this commercial.

  • Great commercial! Crappy beer.

  • Back from a time when a jingle could make or break a brand.

Clearly, Bud got its money's worth out of this one. People not even born when this came out still know the theme.

  • @rugbynimbus if you drink bud, sure.

  • omg I love these horses so much! I got to pet one at seaworld, their huge!

  • I hate beer, but I love those horses!

  • I loved that they were at SeaWorld. I wish InBev didn't sell the parks. :(

  • GADS!!! Have not heard this in years...love it! :)

  • This earned me a cell

  • "here comes the big number one!"

    it is like a diuretic.

  • i went there!!!!the horses are so pretty!!

  • thats right Paul, This was a commercial on the movie Close Encounters..

  • Who cares? I still like it. Very nice.

  • how is it fake?

  • fake

  • are you siriouse.... buwiser is know for there horses idiot..

  • How is it a fake?

  • !c0lD bEer!

  • I wish the swill was as good as this song!

  • That's awesome! I can't believe you found this to post. Thanks for sharing

  • Lift your glass Budweiser is leading the rest. Love this old commercial. Saw this in Close Encounters the other night. Love me some Budweiser!!!

  • I thought it was "leading the race."

  • Could someone tell me the lyrics at :17-

    :20 and :24 - :27 - thanks a bunch

  • Here's the lyrics you're looking for:

"Here comes the king of beers, so lift your glass, let's here the call!" (:17 - :20)

"And beechwood aging makes the beer at its best." (:24 - :27)

  • GO CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Buds not bad for a German Beer.

  • You gotta love the clydesdales.

  • I remember when they where owned by the people of America....That's what people will be saying in 20 yerars...

    So Sad...

  • fucking dutch....ppssst, scum

  • My gosh that is a blast from the past!! I so remember that commercial! Thanks for sharing!

  • Haha love this commercial.

    GO GEORGIA TECH!!

  • Euro trash F*@KS. Way to trash an American icon. Oh yeah. Thanks to the Busch family also.

  • wow

  • By English Gematria (a=6 b=12 c=18...) "king of beers" Equals 666

  • and iron maidens 'the number of the beast' came from a car repair bill that was 666 english pounds one of the members had not because they r evil. whats ur point?

  • these guys were at an Arizona Rodeo, think they were in Apache Junction. They were so cool! And all you idiots who think ALL rodeos are abusive, SHUT THE FUCK UP! Not all rodeos are cruel to their animals. As far as i know, Arizona doesn't treat anyone with cruelty. Some, okay, but no all of them! Like ONCE a calf broke its leg, but still, its alright. Not to be mean or notin, but it was only a calf. NO harm is gonna be done cuz a calf broke its leg!

  • I have a feeling if they did anything with the horses-- there would be a lot of flipped out people. I heard they were going to auction some of the horses to pay off the purchase they made. There are a hell of a lot of farms with these guys on them. I hope it was just a rumor!!!

  • I remember this and LOVE IT! Those European morons better realize they need to keep the horses and the Superbowl commercials!

  • I work for Anheuser Busch.they are selling sea world and putting all the horses at the farm in st louis.

  • can u tell me if budweiser sold and to who seeing u work there please?

  • I was at seaworld yesterday and they said all the horses are going to the farm in saint louis

  • I think budweiser sold didnt it? what are they gonna do with all of the chorses???!!!! i want one!

  • What year is this one? My guess is 68

  • Anybody get the last 2 or 3 seconds of this ad? I feel gypped.

  • I remember this and the one from '78 or '79, around christmas time. It really brought back alot of memories, those were some good day's, and I'll miss those old clyesdales.

  • Anyone who grew up in the Tampa Bay area can relate to anything Bud or Busch Gardens. Now that Inbev has bought them out who knows what we'll lose next. It's great to see the 1st commercial again, but I think we've seen the last Clydesdales commercial. I think they're going to be gotten rid next.

  • I LOVE this... and the Beer !

  • what year did this commercial come out? Its been years and this jingle stays in my head

  • LMAO :D

  • awesome

  • Anyone know how I can get this as my ring tone on my iphone

  • Budweiser's website

  • It's a sad day for American business...good bye "Anheuser-Busch, St. Louis, MO." Hello "AB InBev, Leuven, Belgium."

  • remember this ad from the movie "close encounter's of the 3rd kind",it was when dreyfuss was wigging out and building that devils tower in his front room.

  • Yeah that was awesome and this is still a great terrific commerical.

  • Thanks for the reminder! I had completely forgotten about that scene but it brings in all back now.

  • lol i just watched Close encounters, and this had been stuck in my head all day, nice call. This is the greatest jingle ever

  • really catchy :)

  • Bud is the most famous beer in the USA but is it also the best? Most Aussies I spoke with dont like Foster's, Dutchmen reject Heineken Beck's isnt all that popular in Germany etc.

So what's the story on Bud?

  • Bud is DEFINATELY the shittiest of all US beers. In my opinion, the US doesn't make a truly great beer,LOL. My favorite beers are Bass Ale, Corona, and Guiness, all of which are imports.

  • ever hear of Sam Adams

  • Budweiser started in 1852. Anhieser a German immigrant started it.

  • My friend owns this barn in west virginia where the budweiser clydesdales stayed for the summer. They are flippin huge man, like the shortest was 18 hands!

  • yeah man i live a walking distance away from grants farm, DUDE THEYRE HUGEEEEEEE

  • those horses are huge, they came to my town there like 8 feet tall and weigh about 2,000 pounds.

  • catchy jingle! lol

  • How sad...Always look forward to seeing the Budweiser Clydesdale commercials at Christmas and Super Bowl...I agree popolot, sellouts

  • Sellouts ! Least American Beer ever !

  • JASTORS01 I absolutely agree with you. Remember when you could have a disagreement without someone getting offended?

Jake: we had 4 channels that shut off at midnight or one am if you were lucky and no TV tuner. LOL.

I still can't believe Bud is doing this.

  • I know this song from Card's games, never knew it was an AB commercial. Pretty cool.

I'm sure that AB are wishing they never lost the majority of the company. Oh well. I'm still a fan of capitalism and I wont stop drinking Bud until they take the factory and distributorship out of St. Louis. Once that happens they can kiss my business goodbye.

    Go Cards!

    C.U.B.S. Completely Useless By September!!!!

  • Whats a travesty, that such a thoroughly American product like Whats a travesty, that such a thoroughly American product like Whats a travesty, that such a thoroughly American product like Anheuser Busch/Budweiser has been sucked up by the globalist movement and bought out by a belgian beer company. This is a sad era for the United States, wake up Americans, before its too late!

  • i think budweiser would be able to make a profit if they could sell their commercials on iTunes

  • I remember seeing this video on tv when i was a little boy in the 70's. Remember when we only had 4 maybe 5 channells in them day's! Dammit I feel OLD! Great song and commercial too!

  • I am the same age. I remember those days when you could trust the news media and you did not need a lawyer to settle a dispute.

  • Oh how wonderful. One of my all time favorites along with Coca Cola's "I'd like to teach the world to sing." I was lucky to get to see the Clydedales in the mid 70's. I remember one was named "Captain".

    Thank you for posting this.

  • Inbev Get the fuck out. We dont want you here..........I for one am on a boycot of any A-B products. You guys wanted to buy the company. I DONT WANT TO BUY YOUR PRODUCT ANYMORE.******** BOYCOT INBEV********

  • FUCKING AAAA..... I have a fridge full of Bud... when it's gone no more.... Shit though is Miller Brewing still owned by Americans... I can't drink Coors pisswater....AAGGGHHH.

  • No major brewery is owned by "America."

  • Miller was bought by "South African Brewries" back in 2001 and Coors was bought by the Canadians a year ago. Really no major national brewry left. Pabst, Sam Adams, or just drink local beers.
