  • Yet, the plant didn't melt down, and there was no "US Fukushima." More scare mongering from the soviets....I mean Russians, and their tin foil hat wearing viewers in the west.

  • @Mainsail76 nobody said it melted down. they just said that they do not get information in a "free and open" country, like in russia. and there is a free press in russia, cause thats why they were killed for.

  • Nobody is coming to America. They know we are dying as a Democracy. The world will be going to China and Russia. thanks to corrupt Republicans destroying our country for their personal powers sake.

  • Isn't this RT news channel the "Russian News" for the west? Its funny how they seem to condemn the west and spread fear about nuclear power, particularly USA, but Russia is nuclear and is reponsible for spreading it to countries like Bangledesh and Iran. Russia (USSR) was the only country responsible for the worst nuclear melt down in history with casualties and they are the ones pointing and waving fingers at other. I wonder if there is anything behind Russia wanting a news channel like this???

  • @d2099y You're correct. RT is a Russian government funded operation, so it's basically Putin TV. There is no freedom of the press in Russia. Just look at all of the anti-Putin journalists that end up dead. Anything coming out of RT should be recognized for what it is, Russian government propaganda.

  • 43. Rest assured everything is being done to murder the peoples of this world and reduced the population and they are going to do it with radiation poisoning from a dozen different sources this is all part of a much more complex plan to reduce this world population which in and of itself kind of makes sense but you should know that Obama will be the person responsible for i agenda 21 I have created a video and song to show you just how complex the nature of this matter actually is. my auto play

  • Oh Well I'm going to bed; Sleep well Earthlings :D

  • wind and solar are not cost effective, nuclear is the way to go. If only people of the news understood how the reactors worked and the safety systems in place they would know we are safe. Even if it did melt down it would never become what happened in japan. Our systems are so over built its crazy

  • @JBEAS1980

"wind and solar are not cost effective"

Solar will be less expensive than COAL in eight to ten years Right now Japan's economy (the 3rd largest economy in the world) is being DESTROYED by the consequence of using nuclear power. The economies of Belarus and Ukraine are STILL hurt by Chernobyl

"Even if it did melt down it would never become what happened in japan. "

-- You can not say this with any certainty AT ALL

  • @BeondaPale "Solar will be less expensive than COAL in 8 to 10 years". Only if Obama gets re-elected. In 17 months... hopefully the Messiah will be removed from office and we can reverse all his heavy handed EPA tactics designed to make coal non-competitive. Then we can pursue clean coal technology. Solar power is okay for powering your radio but you can't run a major eastern city off the sun...ain't gonna happen.

  • @label1877

    "Only if Obama gets re-elected"

LOL as if the advancement of any particular technology depends on politicians - yer HILARIOUS!!

"Then we can pursue clean coal technology."

    No such thing

"but you can't run a major eastern city off the sun."

Not right away it ain't. But If 1% of 1% of the energy of the sun that falls on the earth were collected it would run every city on earth.

Sorry, I think people like world renown biochemist Daniel Nocera know a bit more than you.

  • @BeondaPale You CAN'T be that ignorant. Obama stated BEFORE he was elected he would "tax coal out of existence". Since the socialist was elected... the EPA has burdened coal-fired generating plants with TONS of useless new relegations. The EPA is forcing coal plants to install new scrubbers at a cost of 650 MILLION dollars per plant. These costs will be passed on in the form of higher rates for the middle class. Who is gonna invest in any serious coal R&D with this clown on office?

  • @label1877

"Obama stated BEFORE he was elected he would "tax coal out of existence"

Which has almost nothing to do with the scientific advancement of a separate technology except in as much as that funding gets more funding. But R&D funding for Solar is up globally and through private as well as government sources

"Who is gonna invest in any serious coal R&D ... ? "

Who would want to when nano-solar is expected INDUSTRY WIDE to be cheaper than coal in perhaps as little as 10 years?

  • @BeondaPale Remember your "cheaper than coal" world can only happen by making coal non-competitive with taxes and endless EPA burdens. Imagine for a second if solar tech became the panacea in 10 years. That would mean America's advantage of being the Saudi Arabia of coal would be worthless. Today, American factories enjoy a price advantage over foreign competition with cheap power rates. In a solar world...America would suffer a standard of living drop as our factories leave us... yet again.

  • @label1877

"Remember your "cheaper than coal" world can only happen by making coal non-competitive with taxes and endless EPA burdens."

That's just not true. The EPA's reach does not extend beyond US borders. The world is more than just the US. Solar will be cheaper than coal in the whole world's economy.

You just can't comprehend HOW it can be cheaper. Solar thin film can now be PRINTED. As easily as you can print on a piece of paper, you can make a nano solar panel

  • @label1877

You want the world to be forced to come to the US for it's energy as they are now with Saudi Arabia? Where do you think this thinking necessarily leads? War.

Nanotech energy will eventually become so cheap as to be virtually free, decentralized and personal

You are stuck in the 20th century and can't see how the ever accelerating technology revolution is making the world as profoundly different as the industrial revolution has made THIS world from the world of the 17th century

  • @BeondaPale Good comment!

  • @JBEAS1980 Thats BS most nuclear plants are 40 years old in very bad shape the underground pipes full of holes. I lived beside a plant for tree years and its very bad why play with fire these plants can be converted to

natural gas and be more effecient then what they are now (forgot that woudn't be free) .

  • They media are just helping us to sleep! Say thanks, and don't worry when u start to vomit blood and your skin start to fall... sleep, sleep...

  • RT news = Ultimate Troll.

  • Well looks like the plant is now flooded and the waters are rising swiftly. Radiation is leaking out experts fear. All you people who say you hate RT for asking questions like "this could happen or that could happen" need to realize that asking questions is what GOOD reporters do. Almost none of the USA cable networks have reporters who ask their own questions, they just read scripts. Looks like this report is 100% dead on, sorry to say. And just like Japan, this still is being covered up.

  • Nuclear power plant singing ..... I am too Sexy for Flood water ------

    dont worry guys.....

Experts from Fukushima Nuclear plant are helping this power plant to keep it save....

these Experts from Fukushima have a 110% Success Rate

  • @watup2154 That’s very true, infact if they didn't properly prepare for the disaster before it happened and then also have the entire cleanup process completely transparent, it is very likely it would be 90% instead of 45% of those 1050 children that got radiation poisoning. So it is best to ignore the fukushima accident altogether, since it demonstrated how strong nuclear power plants are.

  • No mention of Safe Thorium Reactors, however he promotes solar & wind!?- which have been written about in multiple publications of it's inherent negative cost/ reward dynamics. WTF. A mention of farmland reduction or possible food growing issues would have been appropriate as well.

  • Why have so few people seen this??? The government is putting all those peoples lives at risk by not releasing that information.

  • This flood is a scourge for many people who have to worry year after year to be struck by it ..

But how long will the Americans are still living with the nuclear power plants in flood plains, as many have to hope they do that nothing happens until they understand - it is better at least these two nuclear power stations break down and produce with bio, wind and solar power really clean energy!

  • Capitalism, the main reason Tesla hasn't really pushed us into the "new age"; it's still up to it's old tricks

  • @roknikov crony-capitalism.

  • This is nothing to Sun plasma blast that will nock out all capabities of all hundreds of nuclear power plants on earth then we will witness invisible death over earth. Radiation will climb so much there won't be a safe place. Small ocean planktones that makes 80% of Oxygeno on earth will die completelly. Our atmosphere system will collapse. Desease don't even talk about because then everything will be normal for a person to get sick often as cancer and immune system failure. Norm will shift.

  • Yes, North America's media is absolutely useless, and pitiful. But, you have to travel overseas, or watch this to realize it. Russia Today rocks.

  • It's very telling of the sad state of affairs in USA's propaganda cable news networks when the only TV news network in America covering this incident is the one owned by Russians.

  • @TheOneManBanned Whom have gotten the information incorrect and activist undermine and credibility by running with the report. There is no danger of radiation leakage and this is not like Japan.

  • WATCH 2053 WARHEADS EXPLODE - NUCLEAR EXPLOSION TIMELINE

  • "Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station, Nebraska" anagrams to "Neutron torsion: Sarah lab neck factual".

  • HAARP's VLF and VHF is the reason for the strange weather and growing rate of earthquakes, they're essential a weapon of mass destruction but because most people are un-educated idiots they dont question any of it.

watch my video and read the article and you will see.

  • When did RT become like Fox?

  • @muelindustries123

    No no no.

RT is funded by the Russian Government

Fox is funded by the GOP and it's arsenal of corporations.

Which do you really think is worse?

  • Why not try the hopewell project . Look it up!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So where is the electricity coming from? Diesel generators? Where are they getting the diesel supply? How do you maintain power supply to a nuclear facility surrounded by water? The situation is grave folks. Full meltdown at Calhoun Plant. They denied it at Fukushima, they denied it at Calhoun.

  • why call it "another Fukushima"? Chernobyl was the true environmental disaster ever not fukushima...

  • @phillipdogyface its not over yet is it !!!!!!

  • @phillipdogyface

Fukushima has far surpassed Chernobyl, dig a little deeper my friend.

  • @THEBEASTPAGES there were just power outs that pissed humans off... its not like fukushima spewed tons apon tons of radioactive dust into the atmosphere that then radiated miles apon miles of land killing all living things in the area :/

  • We need to shoot all these nuclear rods into space!!! ;)

  • everything is fine

  • And I'm not a fan of nuclear power by *any* means, I'm just saying that people are exaggerating and are going to look like a bunch of reactionary crazies by freaking out about Ft. Calhoun. Should we be concerned? Yeah, of course we should. Should we be comparing this to an honest-to-god meltdown? No.

  • I agree with one of the other commenters: RT is VERY irritating in it's endless speculation "this could happen, that could happen". They need to attach hard data and probabilities to their conjecturing. Conjecturing is NOT inherently bad - IF your models are rigorously logically consistent.

However, RT wouldn't be this way if American mainstream reporting did its job and reported these stories.

  • Anyone care to explain why no one anywhere in the USA has taken geiger readings anywhere around the Missouri River? Of the millions of people not one has taken a radiation reading downstream from these two nuke plants?

  • I give us another 20 years. by then we should have at least 10 to 20 melt downs. there are already 63 nuclear power plants in the US alone that are leaking radiation into the ground water due to age.

  • Thorium reactors.....

  • SNAFUBAR!

  • Wow I can't wait for the flood to recede so I can come back remind you how fucking inaccurate some of your claims are. Not a comparison to Fukushima. Not even the same scenario if you know the slightest information about nuclear power plants.

Yeah, lets get rid of all nukes and replace with solar and wind. Do some research on that claim and see why you don't work in the energy industry.

  • So glad the Russians care more about our people than the true domestic terrorists in this country. I guess America really does have talent...to completely dupe and suppress the sheeple.

  • this is the dumbest crap ever... really??? You guys really thing that there is a possible nuclear accident in the united states? Fort Calhoun is fine. Don't worry I am sure that the coal plants will kill you and even maybe a wind turbine blade will kill you before any nuclear.

  • I can't believe this fucking shit, no one even knows. If it was't for Russia, I still wouldn't know. You've got radiation spewing into the Missouri river for shit sake, and they're covering it up. This shit should be all over Googles front page., I need to move out of this shit-hole. Does Russia take American citizens? I'm serious, I've had enough with this corrupt dump.

  • @HemiHead66 please go to russia you moron. Obviously they've never had a nuclear problem either. One less moron, (plus hopefully moron family) when you leave. If there was so much radiation spewing down the river don't you think every town and city downstream would be reporting on it regardless of a media blackout? LEAVE we don't need you MORON!!

  • @HemiHead66 Yes. Go to Russia and remove your ignorance from this country. I recommend the lakefront property in the Ural Mountains near Lake Karachay (or as they say Карача́й ).

The radiation that you receive from the sun is far far greater than anything spewing out of that plant.

  • it's easy to point your finger around the world and tell countries what to do about pollution, going green, etc but when it comes to your shit that is popping up from underneat, americans are silent in the spirit of patriotism, something like I can do shit with you but you can't say shit to me because I have us army on my side aand nato is my trained pittbull that I can unleash at any time

  • Wake up America!!!!!!

The Government , Corporations and Media ARE DOING A MASSIVE COVERUP ON THIS WHOLE SCENERIO, THE FLOODWATERS ARE NOT GOING DOWN, GET READY FOR ANOTHER FUKASHIMA INCIDENT

  • there was a fire in Nebraska in a nuclear plant why wasnt i told of this only RT let me know this

  • nuclear power is an accident waiting to happen. Supporters of nuclear power are morons

  • All this anti-nuclear garbage. These plants were hit by natural disasters! Why isn't anyone looking at that, instead of acting like nuclear plants are some evil thing.

  • this video should be viral!

  • This looks like what CNN looked like 30 years ago.

  • Fort Calhoun. What about the Cooper Nuclear Plant? You guys are missing half of the story or mixed half of one story with half of another. You RT is half ass researched. I volunteered to put sand bags up at the Cooper Nuclear Plant so I know that flooding is a concern there.

  • Markey is the worst excuse for an oversight chair possible. His mewling gets people killed daily and he is too self-righteous and mother fu____stupid to see it.

  • Believe what you are told. Whatever you do never go to cia or nsa websites. If you know you have been lied to before it will be harder to swallow the new lies.

  • i'll post this on my face book but once again i' ll get called a fear monger i am just trying to let ppl know what else is going on in the world....

  • @GONECRUISING72 hey man, don't listen to the people who say those things. they sheep. they care more about american idol than their own lives. all they want to do is laugh and be blissfully content with lies. give it to em and dont stop. be relentless. be a reporter of truth and injustice. if they don't like it, they can block your posts.

  • @optical76 thanks i needed that i just want ppl to know there is a whole other world of news out there and russia today is a great source and things are going to hell in a hand basket but like you say they know more about american idol and sports then this or any other subject... again thanks

  • could some one tell me why everytime i watch a video i have to re sign so i can type in a comment

  • Go to thegic(dot)org they have an article and video titled ; NUKE CRISIS-US orders news blackout for the crippled Nebraska Fort Calhoun Nuclear Plant . It says it's at a level 4 emergency and near a catastrophic meltdown cuz of loss of cooling to idle spent fuel rod pools cuz of the flooding since June 7th !!! Also says that the FAA has ordered a no fly zone in that area. They're not telling anyone! Hang on it just keeps getting worse. People need to know, spread the word.

  • COULD IT BE THEY WANT PEOPLE TO SCREAM GREEN SO THEY CAN PUSH AGENDA 21 !?!?

  • THE END !!!!!!!

  • WOW!!! A terrorist could drive a boat laden with explosives right up to the plant now!!!!

  • ....prepare to take this country back from the corporation owned government.

  • why must the use nuclear power when nothing good comes of it. The future is greener energy not nuclear .. BAN ALL NUCLEAR POWER there are much SAFER ways to produce power!

  • Where the hell is Homer Simpson?

  • @gringodeltoro1 Well since the media isnt saying shit about this he is probably still watching itchy and scratchy.

  • WOW I dint even know this, well hopefully US learned something from Japan

  • Let's build some more reactors on fault lines and in flood zones... Brilliant.

  • @Cozzmos well the thing is, incase the reactor doesnt get the cooling it needs, they will use the easy to axcess water to be pumped into the reactor to cool it... they are getting worked up about the electricity going out, not the reactor contaminating everything...

  • @Cozzmos I live near the plant, Seeing that water creep up was scray. And no, The plant was not built on a fault line -.-

  • Tchernobyl's 8-feet-thick dôme that was built around the nuclear reactor in 2004 (18 years after the accident) is already cracking down.

It's been 25 years after the first nuclear reactor accident ever, and humans are just starting to understand how this radiation propagates.

Media says is not that bad ... well I suggest you do your own research !!

  • How many people think that it may just be too late for alternative power secondary to the cash cows that current technologies are.

  • Haha, emerging technologies, hahaha, emerging, hahahahahaha, what was he doing the last 30 years, sleeping?

  • @dawoderpfeffer No wait, oh sorry, I've overlooked that he's an USAmerican, they've tend to ignore sustainable energy sources and alternative energy technology development. WAKE THE FUCK UP NOW!

  • There's a no fly zone around the plant? Are they bombing innocent people there, as they are in Libya?

  • "everything is fine" LOL!!!

reminds me of nothing can go wrong, go wrong, go wrong....

Abolish these earth killing Nuke plants ASAP!

Replace with Coal, Oil and Nat. Gas plants for clean Safe energy. AGW or man made global warming is a SCAM. Don't buy into the bull about CO2 killing the planet folks, the Nukes are the real killers. Renewable sources would be great, but none really are efficient. Research, learn and speak out.

    Thanx RT for posting.

  • Employee's spouse says the spent fuel rod area and the generators needed to keep it powered up is at a much higher elevation than the plant itself which was shut down for routine refueling, and because of the threat of flooding it wasn't put back online, BUT that doesn't mean there is absolutely no danger. For an in depth 40 minute interview with explanations and facts by an expert, do a search here on Youtube for "Fire -Fort Calhoun Nuclear Plant near Omaha Nebraska- Flooding Missouri River"

  • more depop mayhem?

  • THREE WORDS. " NUKE FUKUSHIMA NOW"

  • I love RT, our fucking media would rather cover a police escort for fucking ducks!!!

  • @EmergencyGear911 I thought the same, when such news (escorted ducks) were on German news instead of the real problems. The media is brought into line worldwide! If I lived close to these problem plants, I'd flee. God have mercy.

  • @EmergencyGear911 so sad and true. the media as a whole is so messed up. this is scary.

  • If we weren't constantly lied to we wouldn't have to worry so much. We wouldn't have to rely on "alternative" news and there would be no such thing as "conspiracy theories" which so often turn out to be truth. Why must they always lie?

  • This is going to force different areas to use alternative energy like wind & solar energy.

  • why is the media not covering this? it seems like that if a story is not scandalous then they will not cover it, bullshit, what a bunch of crap, this is an important story, more important than any cheating scandal or anthony weiner

  • Whos bright idea to build this on a flood plain or,such like i would ask regard less of whether this is regular or irregular flooding..!!!

  • Coal is just fine

  • Wind and solar are not cost-effective and cannot replace the needed energy generation volume... I wish they were better but they are not. That is the problem.

  • Even the Alex Jones didn't know about this until a couple of days ago, fascinating

  • I live in Omaha and we just had a huge rainstorm.

  • @andrewyaoauatauabaea i live in c.b. were screwed

  • @MrRyinoyea

Do you have the rain storm overhead right now? It was heading towards Iowa.

  • radiation is good for americans ;-D

  • That's what happens when the corporations gets to do whatever they want.

  • I don't think it could be a new Fukushima but it should be concerned.

  • River Bend NPP in Baton Rouge failed 80+ checks but its still running. I would rather go back to pig lard lamps than have nuke power plants. Shut them all down now. All heavy metals need to be thrown in Volcanoes.

  • Thorium reactors would not melt down & we have enough for 1,000 years they are safe. These monstrocities are not. Never should have gone with these designs in the '60s. This is a 500 year flood so they have no idea what is going to happen. The levees were designed to hold floodwater for weeks, not months. Some levees are privately owned. Even though they supposedly have 9 back up generators, the question should be:How many hours would they supply power, & how many hours does it take to evacuate?

  • Thanks for covering this????? It's the 20th.

  • I'm actually more worried about Cooper nuclear station , it's still running , with a flood headed for it .

  • end it around the corner now its time to choose what side you want to be in ......

  • I used to love RT. But they have jumped on the band wagon, like all the rest, of NO FACTS NEEDED reporting. If in the absence of facts, is "speculation" considered covering an event? I want facts. I want to see a reporter up to their butt in water taking pictures and holding a Geiger counter. I DONT want "guesses" "Speculation" hearsay" "rumors" or lies. Come on RT...get out there and beat the bushes for some facts like the good ol days! NO facts=fear mongering.

  • @iwantthisfuckingname I agree. I kind of felt like I was watching the anti-FOX News... Try to interview an engineer at the plant casually and I'll bet they'll tell you exactly what happened.

  • @iwantthisfuckingname Right on..Radiation network.......normal levels there......Omaha area....

  • Hmm, "Everything is just fine..." where have I heard those words before? Ah yes, they were in a book I had entitled "Famous Last Words"; as I recall they were one of the most repeated entries.

  • Not only is the plant in a cold shut down, there's weeks worth the emergency fuel for generators and supplies should something happen.

Say it with me now, this is not fukushima, this is not fukushima, this is not fukushima.

It's just RT doing what they do best. Giving an ignorant anti-american report.

And this is me doing what i do best. Pointing it out.... ignorantly? I dunno >.>

  • @peepeevagi Also, at Fukushima, the waste pools are on top of the reactor housings. It's just all kinds of problematic there.

  • Difference between fukushima and this. EARTHQUAKE AND MUTHAFUCKIN TYPHOON. Nuclear reactors aren't in danger of anything unless power to their systems gets cut off. Something that if a fire wont do, a flooding river wont either.

Yeah, this story is worth covering, but you cant comapre it to the massive FUBAR Fukushima was.

This is just RT trying to Rile up the sheeple again with absolutely no founding proof that it's a remotely dangerous situation. Journalism at it's finest.

  • No fly zone = no press so we don't know it is happening thank you RT

  • @badaboomrock Could allways get on the ground. Or on a rooftop. Derp.

  • @peepeevagi Why did our government put a no fly zone over a public or maybe private land with in the United States this is violation of the laws and the constitution and it is the right of the public to know what the public servants’ are going in our name?

  • @badaboomrock It's a preemptive move. You know, not EVERYTHING has to be suspicious. And i doubt this is breaking laws >.> Being in violation of the constitution doesn't mean jack nowadays anyway. And even if it was for a suspicious reason, it wouldn't do any good. If something were to happen, you'd have people whining about the radiation being detected EVERYWHERE. Heck, combination carbon-monoxide detectors will detect it.

And it's just a no fly zone. You could allways go up on foot.

  • Called regulatory capture--it is written about in The Postcatastrophe Economy by Janszen.

  • The plant has been shut off for over a year now. we are upgrading it. I'd love it to be on but would rather it be up to date than just to have cheaper power.

  • @CloudN9ne2010 Seriously? And they're trying to compare it to Fukushima, which had multiple active plants in one location? Faaiilll lol.

  • A no fly zone, no matter what the real problem may be, says only thing IMO, something is being hidden.

  • How about Thorium reactors....

  • Is this guy saying "nucular"? Isn't that supposed to be the purview of morons?

  • Nothing to see here folks, the no fly zone is just to protect endangered mosquitos.

Your papers seem to be in order, move along....

  • @AKEVELFAN Actually, "just for you future safty." Please proceed to the Fema Camp. Just out side the radiation zone. You and your family will be. Taken Care Of!"

  • One might also ask what happened to all the money paid by the public for cheap electricity, from this plant for 40 yrs. You know, it went to the bankers. Probably over seas. So why didn't the government use Social Security to bank roll power plants? So it would grow in amount. Well S. S. was used to pay off dept to the same big banks. Evolution is a bust.

  • that guy needs a fuckin' hair cut.

  • "The sand shortage comes as the bloated river rose to within 18 inches of forcing the shutdown of Cooper Nuclear Plant at Brownville, Neb. It stopped and ebbed slightly Monday, a reprieve caused by levee breaches in northwest Missouri." @

    Huffington Post (4:17 pm 20, June 2011)

  • lol "everything is just fine"...start panicing

  • Local press was told not to report on this, but the local news thought the public had the right to know and reported on it. Problem is the MSM hadn't breathed a word about it until earlier today.

  • "TIME, for Zero Point? Safe, clean, & efficient Zero Point. It's only everywhere...."

  • @crlwllns. Such a thing exist?

  • SHUT IT THE FUCK DOWN ASAP!!!!

  • why we continue using nuke plants because the parasitic Royal Family own the 3rd of the world and they profit from minding for plutonium........

  • @Howie47 So you think either way it is OK because over population and we need to get rid of some people? ARE YOU A FUCKING IDIOT? If it were you or your MOM you would NOT say this. If America mandated a 2 child limit per couple this would bring DOWN the population. (2.2 per couple stabilizes the pop)... so you do not need retarded KILL measures to lower the population.

  • @freeadplanet Read my whole post, and maybe you'll apreciate the irony. And maybe not.

  • @freeadplanet

America is not really overpopulated anyway. All our food and resource shortages are done by design. We used to be the breadbasket of the world, but now we are the ethanol basket of the world. Perfect way to give us less oil per tank and simultaneously less bread per table. Then the powers that be, corporate fascists such as GE, can tell us on their news networks how this is all proof that they need a 2 child policy. Really they just want to sell away our freedom to reproduce.

  • Listen, they've got to balance the cost of shutting down against the damage and loss of life; If some thing goes wrong. It's a pretty safe bet nothing will go wrong, and if it does the planet is over populated, any way. While I'm posting. We recommend all our relatives and friends leave Nebraska and neighboring states, until future notice.

  • @Howie47 The plant is already shut down. In fact it has been for almost a year for upgrades.

  • @CloudN9ne2010 Yep. It's been in a cold shutdown for a while. People talking about "meltdowns" either don't know what a meltdown is or they don't understand the state of the plant. Yes, the spent fuel is a real problem, but the plant itself has been shutdown for a while.

  • The situation doesnt look good 0_o

  • WELCOME... MY FRIEND... TO THE MACHINE

  • how safe could it be ITS FREAKING UNDER WATER FOR GOODNESS SAKE ,, ITS LIKE THROWING A NUKE ON ON A GRILL and saying don't worry about it !

  • FOR GOD'S SAKE LEARN FROM JAPAN AND TAKE IT OFFLINE!! (yes, the capitals mean I'm yelling)

  • They may just be cautious incase it goes up. Wouldnt be surprised if it was leaking tho.

  • @Hijynx87 of course thats being optimistic lol.
