  • the 83rd division was not national guard, they were a national army and trained at ft. sherman in ohio. my great grandfather was in the 83rd div. 158th f.a.b. 323rd f.a. (b) battery. the 158th field artillery brigade was attached to the 32nd division when they got to france. anyway great video!

  • wow this is so interesting. I think the Army camp shown here is Camp Sherman in Chillicothe Ohio. Interesting bit of history here is the fact that Camp Sherman was actaully located on one of the countries oldest indian mounds and alot of it was destroyed by these doughboys, partly for the construction of the camp and just shere looting of the graves

  • That might actauly be Camp Atterbury, IN. I know my Grandfather talked of the 83rd training there.
