The sad thing about this is that I some times see my grandad in this dying man. so similar. i get a scared feeling that he's VERY close to death but i don't want to tell this to anyone who actually knows me or him. I don't want to get them more worried than they may already be
This show is incredible because it's able to do both. You can literally bawl and laugh at the exact same time. The only show that (after seeing every episode at least once) can make me laugh AND cry.
This is still the only thing that has made me cry by watching it ever out of all the films and tv shows i have watched only this can make me cry its so brilliantly written the episode and DCFC song in the background
how can scrubs do this i care more about george a character ive known for less than a full episode than most characters in other shows thats a good show
I'm the type of person that represses their feelings. I hold them back until something breaks the dam. This broke the damn I had built since my grandfather died.
this is even sadder than the finale. i haven't cried this much over the death of a minor character since ... ever. i've been reminded as to why i love scrubs so much.
My favorite Scrubs episode of all time. I felt like they returned to their older episodes with this one, and I felt like this might be a common and relatable problem. Plus I cried.
i never cried so much over an episode or a movie like over this one.. so sad :'( but this is also why i love this show so much... it just touches you and teaches you lessons about life :')
this episode isnt like another episode of Scrubs where somebody has a problem then solves it at the end. this is one of the greatest episodes of all time.
@CowFightsDragon There are many episode of scrubs that end with someone dieing that s what made this show so good not everything ended happy. Watch "My Lunch" "My fallen Hero" "My Old Lady". Those are a few that do this same thing. This what scrubs was know for having great drama moments with hints of comedy.
@WindRunner4 same here man. this episode made death go from being a scary thing everyone dreeds to something that is beautifull. something that people can accept. i was laughing and tearing up at the same time at the end
and people say HOUSE and Gay's Anatomy is better than Scrubs.
Crock of shit. Nothing medically related can top this show. The Mix of comedy and Drama, is purely fucking flawless. Im 19 and a guy, and this episode made me cry...
this was the best ending i ever seen , it was sad and had a nice song to go long with it and tackling a large topic, that in the end everyone is scared which is very true
This is why I loved Scrubs. Because it tackles real life while making it humorous. Because many use humor to cope with bad situations. This show makes you sad but also gives you a positive outlook on life. Because there are good people like Turk and JD in this world
@Tigerkeeper818 scrubs deserves so much credit i totally agree tho, makes you think about your own life so much, and makes you laugh too, hated the spinoff known as season 9 but the rest of em.. THE best TV series in my opinion
Did anyone see this episode? What did JD say in the outtakes they showed after teh flare gun? THey were sitting in the hospital room and he said something and the director said "Cut! We can't use that!"
@StixR4drumerz I saw it, it was in the room with george where JD and Turk talk about dying and Turk says he hopes he dies first, then JD says "me too" and then he explains that's it's so he can stuff Turk and Carla and keep them with him like Rowdy (although Carla would be kept in the closet), then the director says "Cut, we can't use that" and Turk starts to laugh and says "That's awfull man" to JD.. Was that what you meant?
It makes you think on what your last words will be right I mean what your gonna say before you go I know what my words will be and im sure a lot other people know to because there gonna be your last words on earth so make them last or make it quick and just go its your choice like it is mine and remember friends will be there if not physically then spiritually
Ive never even seen Scrubs and this made me tear up, George seems like he was a reall awesome guy. Three good friends together in the last moment of ones life...that's the best way to go in my opinion, you not going alone. Passing just like this is possbly the best way, in the company of those that you care about and that care about you. Just making your final moments enjoyable and relaxing. And yes, just like he said, a good memory being the last thing you have.
@ShadeDravinas that's the interesting thing about this episode. JD and Turk have never met george before that night and despite having their own decade-long tradition to carry on, they give it up to comfort someone they barely know. Great show, and probably the best episode.
I'm crying.
