@hintsa09 not necessarily, the director can be in a movie, but its very complicated for a person to take on both challenges, so if a director wants to act too its more feasible they would co-direct. I believe Jackie Chan co-directed and acted in his next film 1911 but often directors just direct.

For Mac you have iMovie that comes preinstalled, or for PC you have Movie Maker.

@ultraloadedkiller Well, there aren't a lot of good FREE ones, but for $50, you can get Pinnacle Studio HD. It has everything that is needed for basic video editing. It is very user friendly and easy to use. I originally had Pinnacle Studio but have now made a MAJOR upgrade to Final Cut Studio on Mac.

@SonnarProductions Thank you, I will look into it. I was thinking of just getting "Adobe After-Effects" for $150, but I am not sure if I should spend that much. I am sure there are other programs similar that cost a lot less. I just got Movie Maker 4 (which is decent), but it does not have a bunch of effects. In fact, I used to have Pinnacle Studio, but it was not much different from Movie Maker. If you had anymore suggestions, that would be helpful.

@ultraloadedkiller First, I don't know how/where you will get After Effects for $150 considering that it is prices at $1,000. Second, you could consider Adobe Premier Elements ($80). I have heard great things about the possibilities and ease of use of this program. I have never used it but Adobe offers a free 30 day trial which will let you use the program full force for 30 days.

@SonnarProductions It was on e-bay, though it was also CS4. I really need a (good) video editing program, because I just got some new props and I have a nice story. I still need a video recorder (I am thinking of just renting one), and a cast.

Would you be able to make a movie with less then 4 people?

Because I have gotten a script, I have two video cameras. BUT, all of my friends live on different streets and it would be hard to get them all together to start shooting the film. What should i do???

@EvilCrazyElmo yes you can, just have the friends where diffrent clotheing for the diffrent parts and shoot them from the back and stuff to make it seem like there are diff people
