These were good but this song is a complete rip off of the wonderstuff who were probably a direct influence considering this is post HUP and this tune really stinks of HUP. I really long for those days
Ran into them at Readin 93/4 as I built the stages. Told them I'd seen this vid on mtv and they seemed suprised but really nice bunch of guys!
They played an Alexander palace gig for students really early in the night and the only people watching were their g/f's I was chatting up by accident. Sorry guys :p
Nice one! The seamless transition into a Stone Roses song was worth the entry fee alone. Glad they also did Speakeasy having previously dis-owned the song after selling out for that Link advert. Shed 7 were one of the few Brit-pop era bands I never got to see, but better late than never.
the sheds should have been much bigger than they were this song captures a great tight sound !! catch them live if you can they may be alot older but they are shit hot live
The Killers are fucking shite dont come near anyproper indie band from the day. like sayin accrington stanley is a better footballing side than the top premier league sides. Fucking killers miserable overrated tossers
i was at a top of the pops taping when shed 7 did this in 1994.. got talking to rick witter after their performance.. nice bloke.. hugley underrated..
There's something not right w/these guys, even here at the beginning. They lack mass appeal. Rick's vocals are way out of control & he frequently looks away from the camera (if he didn't believe it, how was anyone else supposed to?)
It's too bad, though; they were a good band. They needed someone to reign in their vulgarities and to refine their often shoddy sense of song arrangements, but they were songwriters for the People (from the 2nd album onward). Good post.
Rick's vocals out of control? Strong, steady and constant, I think! Rick looking away? I must've blinked in the wrong places! Vulgarities? Harsh word! I'd say raw and earthy! Maybe I'm weird but their slightly shambolic nature actually rather appeals to me! Shoddy? I always thought their arrangements were complex and sophisticated - and Maximum High (Getting Better, Going for Gold etc.) was undeniably slick and polished. I love 'em! Can you tell?

Saw them live last night - superb live band. I don't understand why they weren't bigger in the 90's - they were so under-rated!!
