1,2,3,4,5! I always loved it when Chuck gave out the money to the contestants. Are parts of the board on display somewhere? I'd love to take a look at that. Even though I can't see very well, I was able to watch and play along with this game. Did Chuck ever get annoyed after asking him about the stopper thing? That would drive me crazy as well.
Hey, Mitt, in case you're interested, I noticed that mtiller2006 recently posted the third last episode of "Scrabble" from 1990. In the second main game played in that episode, there is a contestant named Chip Puskar. His name is actually Chip Esten, whom you might know as a semi-regular from the improv show "Whose Line is it Anyway?".
Yep, Chip came into the office several times after his appearance on Scrabble for new game rehearsals to make a few bucks before his WLIIA fame, nice guy.
Nice VQ here, I used to watch Scrabble when I was home sick from school or days when I didn't have school or during the summer on USA Network back when USA had game shows. Man those were good times
thanks...personally it baffles my why any YouTube video looks like crap...this is a VHS of a VHS off air dub, transferred to DVD and then encoded as an .mov file on my mac....and it still looks great. The audio is bad because of an unrelated issue when it was taped off the air, and I didn't notice until it was too late.
I Always liked the Big Block turning before a Commercial Break.

@6891man I believe this episode was during the show's final season, if I am not mistaken.

Wish Chuck would've waited until the Stopper sound, before saying saying so like at 3:18.
