@hopauradelbuio Google 'Jiddu Krishnamurti' and 'time' - the band are interested in religion and it's a fair bet that the existential themes in the song will resonate with the writings of Krishnamurti.
@hopauradelbuio I believe this song is about the failing of some kind of relationship. When you want to cling to something that's falling apart, you tend to tell yourself lies in order to keep it together. I believe Win was alluding to the fact that, to keep whatever the song is about from falling apart, he was forced to lie to himself in some way.
@drunktomatoband Its meaning is on another level as well - humans have an ego-mediated relationship with the world and with each other. This is arbitrary and time-bound, impermanent. Human life is generally not based on anything real, just beliefs (i.e. the 'lies' in the song) and the protagonist wants to 'work it out' because he knows that time won't provide the answer - if he goes with the flow it will just be more self-deception. But there's unresolved angst 'bout whether he has a choice.

Neon bible is my favorite album by them. All of their albums are unique and incredible, but the music on this one is magnificent. <3

My favorite track from Neon Bible such beautiful lyrics and completely relaxing.
I highly recommend you guys check out Echo and the Bunnymen - Ocean Rain. I have a feeling Arcade Fire got some inspiration from there :)

@XeeGen I also like Echo and the Bunnymen, that's probably where Arcade Fire got the title from as well :-)

This isn't your average band.
They have a genius in their midst.
