But, the British was an empire occupying China lands, which dislikes this part of history. Besides, this Chinese democracy was destroyed by the communist in 1949 and left only Taiwan. What I heard was from the soldiers who were in the war personally. I really hope you can find out the truth together. I hate lies which blind us. The old men said The road was to support Chinese to fight against Japan invaders. In the begining, The British did not fight much and Japan occupied the road easily. US and Republic of China (ROC) worked together saved the British troops. This is truth with proof in the history museums. TRUTH!

unfortunately the road is blocked for public usage due to security reason......otherwise it could be a boon for trade between north-east and myanmar region..specially in food related supply,as these two reagion has very similarity in their food-habits.

The place called Ledo you have mentioned in your description is in Assam(India) NOT in Burma !!!!!
