@sxmadrid Yes, it is N K 's special kadenza, you can hear it on the CD described here. I own the CD and it is my favorite recording of the Beethoven concerto !!

NIgel Kennedy is one great violinist of the 20th and the 21st centuries. His rendition of the Meditation de Thais is for me immaculately perfect. Simply amazing.

@camposi According to Wikipedia he was born in Brighton, East Sussex, England. Right or wrong? I don't know. Wikipedia says: "When not touring, Kennedy divides his time between residences in Malvern, Worcestershire (where his ex-partner and son Sark live); and London and Kraków where he lives with his Polish second wife, Agnieszka."
