Actually Chicago didn't beat New York in murders. It beat it in murder per capita. Chicago in 2007 had 480 soemthing murders while NY had 523 that year. In 2009 Chi had 458 and NYC had 471. Chicagos #'s are still going down and NYC's still going up. It's fact. 2 million in Chicago compared to 8 milliion in NY but the only reason it seems bad in Chi is that the cops are scared of the people. In NY or LA they aren't.

I have seen the violence first hand even though I am the classic good guy I have been close enough to the violence too many times. Right now I think the politicians are doing things wrong and only making things worse by enabling the criminals.

L.A. is the real murder capital of the U.S. you gotta remember more than half of the city of l.a. is hollywood, beverly hills, and hancock park where murders happen on a low basis. Lets just leave out that half of the city the other half of the l.a population lets say 1.9 million people has 250 murders the other 50 being in the nice areas. In L.A. county(10 million people) since Jan 1st 2007 there has been 2,700 murders. And only 40% of the county is ghetto but yet it all counts as one big city
