Nejdå, då skall man inte köpa den. Man måste vara förbered på att allt kan kracha i värsta fall. Klarar man inte den tanken skall man hålla på med skalabåtar eller skalabilar i stället.

The "plop" sound is the engine 4 stroking, meaning at some RPM speeds it is ejecting unburned fuel from some cylinders because it cannot induct enough oxygen to fire it on some strokes.

@stopglobalswarming No, it's not four stroking. The sound comes from the intake NOT the exhaust. The ploping is actualy a very small backsurge in the intake because of the profile and overlap of the camshaft.

@TestECull He does not mean "fout stroking" in that way. He is mentioning it in the same way as you can make a two stroke engine four stroke by running it to rich on the mixture. Actually if you have an old english model diesel like a Mills 0.75 or eq, you can even make it 8-stroke! Easily checked measuring the rpm and making a sound analysis.

@TomasLeijon I've never understood why people run glow engines that rich. It murders ABC engines(They don't warm up properly, if at all) and it just fouls the plug on ringed ones.

You never owned an old english diezel I guess. They have iron pistons and sleeves so you don't destroy anything by running them rich and there are no plugs to foul.

The Pegasus in the film is making the sound from a slight backsurge because of the overlap on the cam in combination with a very low idle.

I had many gas/glow airplanes with Saito or OS engines.

But now all I have is electric.

Yes it is an old OS 240 Pegasus. I don't fly glow anymore but I must fly this one from time to time just for the sound. I will soon post a flight film as well.

Jag kommer inte åt att rigga den inomhus för att kolla men så fort jag tar ut den så skall jag kolla. det verkade inte vara kritiskt. Stabben är så våldsamt bärande att cg hamnar runt40-50%.
