The right of every citizen to work in support of their lives through their own industry is a natural right. The exercise of that right is NOT the proper or legal subject of taxation. There is no place in the tax code that identifies United States citizens as persons liable for the payment of an income tax for the exercise of that natural right. Government may tax privileged activities within its authority to regulate certain modes of commerce, but occupations of common right are exempt from tax.

You sound like you know something about these things. Can you say what the 'privilaged activites are that government has the right to tax? I am doing reseach on the New Zealand situation and would be glad of help
