Isaac Hayes would have been a transcendent talent in any age or era. But it took the USA of the '50s & '60s to make him the Isaac Hayes we were blessed to have with us (though nowhere near as long as we should have; he was taken far too soon).
He is entirely of this particular age, and he is entirely for all times as well.
