To that end, The Vette, and The Bunker too, were broken, they balanced things out nicely yeah, but the feeling of being epic, of having your friends, and going in guns a blazin into DWB or Fort Tusken, kicking ass and taking names....SPITTING RAWL, SPITTING RAWL, SPITTING RAWL!!! Ugh....it won't EVER be the same....the difference of the old days and now, is the spirit of SWG, it lives in all of our hearts, but it can never be again, never will it be the same u_u
However, as any grizzled vet will tell you, there's something to be said for how many classes the game had, and the uniqueness of them all. I say if they'd simply balanced TKM Fencer Swordsman and Pikeman, along with pistols, carbines, and rifles, and continued to allow for the hybridization of classes, the game would still be a beast. The problem was those 4 classes i mentioned were broken beyond the point of even making content worthy of matching it.
But outside of pvp, Pikeman, and Carbineer, Pistoleer, Rifles, Squad Leader, Ranger, EVERY crafting class, from Armor to Weaponsmith to Droid Engineer, to Shipwright, the tedious crafting tasks and having the best gear, best high end buffs, and getting into 20 man groups....just to solo 20k credit missions for Rancors and various creatures on Dantooine, the vanity of houses, clothes, dancer gf's and such had a personallity and fun all of it's own, the times were fun because it was like
In short, Pre CU was awesome in it's complete and utter brokeness, to explain, PVP wise, there were only 4 deadly classes, those who could hit the mind pool, Rifleman,Teras Kasi Master, Bounty Hunters and Jedi. Then there were just...flatout deadly combos that melted face, as i recall even older, Doctor/Combat Medic beast modes and TKM/Fencer and TKM/Doc, and TKM/2 handed swords, if you weren't one of those, you were toast on the battle field, classes were fun yes, but not gettin your ass kicked
What most people don't realize about this video is, in one of the runs we did, we did a DWB tour for a group of Entertainers. They had no combat skills. It was very hard. Also in one clip, I went to go open a door only to find out I didn't pick up the key. It shows an error on the screen. I am surprised in all this time, no one has seen it.
Oh the good old days. Since the NGE, I have not gamed much. I went onto Guild Wars, but the excitement isn't like the good old great SWG.
Damn i miss this game so much, crafted the realm first jetpack on Eclipse with N'vara wren. Me and my bro was the only jedi's in there, remember the noob bh's where camping outside when we where running out and they got pwned by the SBD lol. Master defender ftw :D
Damn, I never had as much fun as when we conquered the DWB during Pre-CU. Crafting that first Jetpack and being part of the Elite Squad was more rewarding than any other end-game feat I've been involved with in any MMO.

Thats just it, you would have needed to play Pre NGE to relize how bad it was. Just imagine a game that was a hell of a lot harder to play and master, a lot of high end content required 20 person groups. As you can see this is no longer the case.
Um well the game in this form is no longer like this, Sony Online Entertainment decided to ruin the game. The game is Star Wars Galaxies. Cost u $15 US a month. The game is just horrid now, and this video is well over 2 years old when the game was nearing the end of its great days.

This video is from PRE CU. So today its a hell of a alot easier. The DWB along with the entire game that is SWG is a joke, its so horrid.
