  • Amazing, cant wait to get it! :)

  • Music to my ears!!!

  • is this the cat back or with x pipe too? and do you have any headers or is it stock manifold? sounds great btw! the perfect rumble.

  • excellent video i wish they were all like this

  • not enough camera angles

    j/k.

  • really nicely done exhaust video, all exhaust vids should be this good.

    *5

  • do you have hfc's in this video? I just installed bassani on my Z and it doesn't sound like this...I'd say mine only sounds a little louder than stock.

  • Any drone at cruising speeds?

  • nice i just bought my second Gen Bassani with Resonated Tips,im going to pair that up with my Fast Intentions Resonated test pipes

    CANT WAIT!!

  • Hows that sound?? I want to do RTPs as well!

  • nice and loud!!!really deep tone,just a littler raspy between 2500k and 3000rpm's...

  • this is the best sounding exhaust for the Z, I've heard many in person.. most sound ricey.. this sounds mean and classy!

  • If it's a manual, get the Motordyne MREV2 lower collector and 5/16th's plenum spacer and iso-thermal bypass unit. Best bang for buck mod for the 06 manual car. Check out motordyne engineering.

  • hey i have an o6 350z and was wondering exactly what exhaust set up do you have cause i don't know if i want to get test pipes put on im am thinkin about just headers and bassani true duals with x pipe i want the exhaust to sound good not raspy just wonderin what you did and wonderin what i should do to increase horsepower and torque i have about $3000 or so to spend any suggestions on what exhaust set up and modds i should go with

  • Sounds like a friggin beast. This is the best exhaust available for the Z, in my opinion.

  • This is the OP... Dunno where you guys are getting these HP/TQ numbers, but they are rediculous. the "bassani exhaust install" vid on here is whack - no way they got +27 tq. they don't know how to use their dyno. intakes with filter elements in FRONT of the radiator make power all others loose. Don't compare numbers acros different dynos. Only same dyno same day. Dyno readings are relative, not absolute. look for my thread on my350z site - intake/exhaust - user hiz-n-herz - that's me

  • I have before and after dyno graphs for evey mod - same dyno same day. No exhaust on any 350z will produce more than about 12hp/12lb-ft of tq. I also now have Stillen HFC and Injen Dual intakes (in front of the radiator). car sounds eve more bad-ass. Stock dyno was 263hp/234tq on SAE corrected dynojet. With intakes, HFC and Bassani, numbers are 296hp/260tq on the same dyno - SAE corrected - no tune yet.

  • Wife has an 06 350z rev-up. We overlaid dynos for stock HR and rev-up - same dyno sme day. HR = more power and tq than rev-up. Much more power on the high-end and more tq all the way across.

All this talk or crazy gains here (40+ hp with two mods on a DE - show us your dynos or it's all talk ;-)

    Peace!

  • sorry, I think I accidentally deleted someone's post - said they had test pipes and asked how it would change the sound. I can poitn out that Bassani is on their second rev of this exhaust. I have the first gen. I can say that with test pipes, it was raspy as hell. HFC's sound much better and only lose a couple HP over test pipes. The new gen bassani may sound a little better with test pipes. You'll definitely make good power though.

  • What were the numbers for both cars stock?

  • Never got a dyno of the 06 rev-up stock. but with motordyne lower plenum and spacer it was at 237hp/236tq. 07 stock was 263hp/234tq. These are only peak numbers though. Area under the curve means more. Rev up numbers drop after 5800 rpm where the HR keeps climbing until 6800. At 6500 RPM, the HR has 40hp/20tq over the rev-up DE in the 06. HR pwns DE rev-up after 4500 RPMs.

  • @zcarfanatic I have a DE rev-up or so it has been called. I have had spirited runs with an HR. When I was stock the HR walked every EVERY time!. I added a Bassani exhaust and intake recently and after taunting my brother he gave me another go. 1300 bucks later I hold my ground and start to pull. IMO buy an HR because if he does any mods I am toast.

  • More videos of your car!! just do it...haha

  • Just a statement actually the stock HR motor has more torque a 2007 rated at 306@268 2006 rated at 300@260 but on a dyno different story just nunbers from factory. But im pretty sure the HR has more torque regardless.

  • & that 306/268 is under the new HP/TQ ratings. It would have been even more under the old system.

  • thanks! i havent dyno it but, i got it for 800 dollars from ebay. well, whenever you switch out any exhaust it will have rasp. but it has very little rasp and almost no drone. i installed it and my wife didnt noticed...lol

  • cant make up my mind on either this or HKS

  • HKS is you have the 2007 or 2008 350z.

BASSANI is you have the 03,04,05,or 06 350z

  • wrong, I have this on my 2007. Exhausts for 350Zs work for all years.

  • you idiot im saying if you have the vq35de engine then go with the BASSANI but if you have the vq35hr engine then go with the HKS.

some Injen exahust that are for the de engine dont work on the hr engine.

  • what are the horsepower/torque numbers on the hks on the hr motor, i know the bassani on the hr motor is somewhere around 14 horsepower/27 pounds of torque...can the hks beat those gains?

  • HKS sounds better on the HR enigne i dont know the numbers by memory between the HKS and the Bassani but i know for a fact that the bassani exhaust dosent gain 27 foot pounds of torque, no exhaust gains more than 18 foot pounds on the HR motor.

Now the VQ35DE engine is completely different you can gain 46 WTQ and 56WHP just of an intake a exhaust without a tune

  • ive seen the bassani dynoed at those numbers. so i know they are correct. the vq35de stock has more torque than the hr, but ive seen after market exhausts on that motor, and they dont gain no 46 or 56, thats way too high, also the de actually produces less hp/torque than the hr. i dont know where your getting your numbers but those are WAY TOO HIGH lol. i have an 07 z hr motor, and im in a car club with over 80 people in the previous z and nobody has an exhaust with those kind of gains.

  • my best friends dad owns a Nissan, Infiniti performance shop with a dyno(dont know what brand but it bad ass)

my firend gained 46HP with a Fujita intake and Injen full cat back exhaust on the non rev up motor on the 350z.

i had a 08 G35 sport nd it was a hard motor to tune with an exhaust and intake.

with an exhaust ur not gonna gain anyhting cause you have no backpressure it u go to big thats where an intake comes int hand.

  • he had to have had more performance parts in that car to get those kind of numbers in that motor, headers/exhaust/intakes/ur pulleys. for just the exhaust thats too much.

  • exhaust and itake put to gether but u cant jst put any intake with any exhaust.

if you have a non revup DE motor and you add a fujita intake and a injen full catback exhaust together you will gain 30BHP my friend gained 46.

it all depends on where you live to

just got off the phone with hime he also had 5/16" Iso Thermal plenum spacer too.

So with that he gained 46WHP

  • My cousin also has a 09 G37 coupe and with and fujita's dual intake he lost 9 foot pounds of torque but when he added an exhaust(dont know what brand ill ask him) he had 286 foot pounds of torque.

i dont remeber his HP numbers

  • if someone told me bassani themselves made this video i would believe it... props!

  • This is one of the best edited exhaust videos I've seen yet. Sound quality is great, and the layout is perfect. And that exhaust, oh that exhaust. Amazing, amazing, amazing.

  • Excellent sound clips. Exhaust sounds mean!

    Check out my exhaust setup.

  • any drone on the highway?

  • None at all on my Z (2005). Personally I think the exhaust is wonderful. Great purr and not too loud or obnoxious.

  • what's the diameter? 2 1/2 or 3"?

    and how much is it?

  • everyone needs to follow this guideline in how to make a vid of an exhaust clip!!

  • I would like this for my 06

  • sounds like sex to me...

  • Nice, thanks for this awesome video.

  • swweeettt!!!
