Incentives provided by the government, either directly as tax-cuts or indirectly as improved infrastructure or a healthy work force (universal health insurance), would help new and old businesses.

Let's get some things clear. The economic crisis Does go as far back as 2007, when for 9 months before the 4th estate reported it, the corporate banks were taking a nosedive. Triggering problems throughout the market. Bush did exactly what Obama would've done: keep em afloat. That's what was going on with the stimulus anyway. We haven't straightened out cause the reformations haven't come. The oversight laws suck. Repeal em. The people will have the control of the market and set things right.
