In loving memory to one of the great wrestlers of all time the late great Jack Brisco who passed away this week. Now that's what i call old school nostalgic wrestling He was a true wrestling legend and we'll miss him so. Good-Bye Jack Brisco and thanks for the memories. Jack Brisco 1941-2010 : ( ...
It is quite appropriate to be viewing this match at this time. As we all know, an era ended tonight when Flair lost to Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania XXIV. Also, Flair and Jack were both inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the night before.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jack in Tampa about a month ago. This is something I wanted to do for about 35 years. He still gets around really well for a man his age. He also still works out at the gym every day. Very down to earth and really a nice guy.
I wish these Mid-Atlantic wrestling programs were back on the air. Put them on a new channel like Wrestling classics or something. If you can have a soapdish network showing old late-night shows like Dallas and Dynasty or the Sleuth channel showing old action shows like Magnum P I why not wrestling?
Paul Jones was great comedy as a heel.

NCAA runnerup-1964-191 lbs--2nd to Harry Houska, Ohio Univ, 3-6. In 1965, Jack Brisco was the 191 lb NCAA champ,
defeating Dan Pernat of Wisconsin.

I agree that these should be back on TV - somewhere. But someone, who owns the rights to them probably won't do it.

Thank you for the dates! It's tough finding air dates on some of this older stuff.

Paul Jones has a short memory. He pinned Terry Funk for the U.S. title in 1976 with a backslide.

Yeah, this is the first time I've seen these two wrestle each other, too.

actually, i remember this was the first time i ever had seen a backslide also. - it quickly became a very common move though.
