    How to actually fillet a fish:

    1)cut the head off

    2)cut it from its butthole to where the head was

    3)empty the guts

    4)cut the fins off

    5)cut the tail off

    6)leave the meat on the spine and put it in your freezer to eat later

  • @TheDudeman106 no, fool, the striper is not 28 inches (for recreational fishing in RI) and not even 26 inches long (for commercial fishing in RI). That striper is about 2 inches max. Just because some fishermen puts a tag on it, saying that it is legal, does not necessarily make it legal.

  • look up how to clean a perch costa style you will shit your pants just from sheer excitement and amazement. You will never go back to cleaning fish your way again! It works on all fish. I have done it to catfish, perch, blue gill, bass and walleye. It only takes about 12 seconds and you do not even have to wash the fish after you do this method.

  • Your supposed to cut into the jaw to get that meat under the Pectoral fin and above the pelvic fin, and leave the tail meat on to maximize yield.

  • not a very good job. Use a "fillet knife" . Also. cut the "red meat" out of the fillet. The red meat is the fatty part of the fish amd contains most of the contaminating environmental chemicals (PCB and mercury). Discard the red meat.
