Hi, I'm sort of new to Pinnacle Studio 12 and I have a problem with the quality of my exported videos. I got the full license to BB Flashback Express, created a screen capture video and exported in AVI format with the DivX Codec. It plays clearly with sound on the DivX player but when I import it into Pinnacle Studio 12 the graphics get much worse. :/ Is there a way to get high quality without adding bit size? Thanks! :)
how come when i capture footage from fraps and drag it into pinnacle it makes the quality worse? I would like to fix this and keep the files at a max of 2GB how do I do that?
@NotTheColourSilver I have never worked with fraps before but I understand that it captures video. Is there a way to change that quality in fraps? I believe that when you put a fraps video in Pinnacle Studio it has to re-render to a format that Pinnacle recognizes and this may be the problem. Can you try capturing in a Uncompressed format using fraps? The higher the quality the better it will look in Studio. This is just an idea because I have never used fraps before.
I have windows 7 64 bit and have Pinnacle Studio 12 for my dazzle dvc 103.
Before i updated my pc i couldn't get anything from my dazzle (i mean that it didn't show anything in the preview window) and i would get Blue Screen Of Death now i updated my pc and i don't get bsod but i still dont get the screen on my ps3
@oneshotforyou Go to the folder that you are capturing or importing your video clips too and then simply highlight them and delete them. Make sure you want to do this because once you delete them they are gone forever. Pinnacle Studio 15 has a great archieve feature that will back up your project and then you can move it to a hard drive for storage.
@TheLOLBUNNIES Are you using Version 12? If so, then you can not take the preview to full screen. I would look into upgrading to the latest versions of Pinnacle Studio...either version 15 or AVID Studio...both of those versions have the new Studio Import Feature which uses a larger preview screen on capture.
@vilve998 Did it ever run? I would attempt to remove the old software and reload it. Maybe something got corrupt. That should be the easiest way to fix it.
@AnthonyMartorina well i could try, but then i tried it with a second computer and it worked perfect. probably just something with the computer. thanks anyway.
Is it possible to get an actual book for Pinnacle 12? I have the PDF, and I could take it to the local printing place and get it printed, but it's a bit pricey. I was looking for a cheaper way, please respond.
@BigDuke357 I just checked the Pinnacle Website to see if I could find you one but I did not see one up there. You could always print it at home and only print the pages that you need...that would save you some money. If I knew where my old one was, I would send it to you.
@sharkray24 This is called a Speed Change. Open your Video Toolbox. You will see a Icon that looks like a Plug...click on the Plug. Under the Category...Standard RTFX...You will see the Effect called Speed. Make sure that your video clip is in your timeline and now select SPEED and hit OKAY to apply it to your clip. You will now be able to speed up or slow down your video clip.
@emoboynumber13 Creating a voiceover is easy. You will need a microphone hooked up to your computer either a USB or a Stereo pin into mic jack of computer. After this is connected the launch Pinnacle Studio, so it sees the mic hooked up, Now place your cursor in the timeline of where you want to start commentary and open up the Audio Toolbox or select from drop down menu <Toolbox <Record Voice-over. Select Record and start recording your voiceover.
@EZAFINSANE Is the title blinking in the timeline during playback? You may want to update the drivers on your graphics card...this is the first thing I would do.
Is there any way at all to use my microphone as audio input and my capture card as video input? I generally like this program but the apparent inablity to do something this simple makes both my capture card and this program useless.
@Hyren277 I am not sure what you are trying to do but Are you trying to capture a live feed? You can always use a webcam with Pinnacle Studio to capture yourself on video with audio LIVE. A microphone can always be used from the Pinnacle Timeline. You can use a USB microphone or a stereo pin plugged into the jack of the computer. Make sure you have your microphone plugged in first before launching Pinnacle Studio. I hope that some of this helps.
hey i have a problem when i record and watch the video that i've recorded for some reason a green line appears at the bottom screen what do i do about that
@MonkeyDLuff324 Are you importing HD video via a USB cable? The important thing is to make sure that your settings for the timeline are correct. Make sure you go to <Setup<Project Preferences and select your Project Format correctly. Some people have the wrong format selected and it will cause there footage to down rez. The safe choice is to choose the feature <Set from first clip in project and make sure you bring the proper clip down first to the timeline.
@WaLsH3363 I am not familiar with that headset...i went to look at it on line...is there a way to take an audio output from the headset or maybe take audio from the Xbox?
@WaLsH3363 You can always use a USB microphone or a mic plugged into your computer to record a voiceover while you are watching your video back in Pinnacle Studio.
@WaLsH3363 i dont believe you can but that is only with the turtle beach earforce ix3......mine doesnt have a usb it has a rca connection on the wire so mine cannot hook up to my laptop but if i use my desktop it can so if u have rca connectors use a desktop...if u have a usb you can use a laptop but i still recommend a desk top good bye, tyler
@AKIDDNAMEDCUDI To create a Voiceover. Simply open your audio toolbox and you will see a microphone. Click on the Mic Button and it will open up your screen to start recording your voiceover. Select Record and you will be recording audio to your timeline as you watch your video in your timeline. Remember that you need a microphone too...some computers have a built in one. I use a USB Mic from MAudio/AVID called Vocal Studio.
How in the name of buttduke can i just simply take a file, delete ALL OF THE AUDIO, and add music in its place? This is the most convoluted program I have ever seen.
@underpathunderpath This is very easy to do. Just lock the video track located on the right side of the timeline. Now select the audio and hit the delete button and the audio is removed. You can now add your music to your video. Pinnacle Studio is only trying to protect you from losing the audio that is synced and connected to your video.
@averumsson Your voiceover can be live to your video and does not have to pre-created.
@Zalozis Cool...glad to hear it. Remember these tutorials are for Studio 12, if you are interested in Studio 14 tutorials...go check out the AVID page on You Tube.
@realjuvelive Do you want 5 videos playing on the screen at the same time? If that is what you are trying to create then you are going to have to a couple of passes in Pinnacle Studio. Create your first two videos and render it out...then add the third video and render it out and so on.
@realjuvelive Which version of Pinnacle Studio do you have? Add an Overlay Track and that will add a second layer of video. The you can use the Picture in Picture Tool and this will allow you to add a video over the top. If you render out this video as a single file, then you can bring the video in and add another layer of video (using the picture in picture tool again) and so on until you get your 5 layers of video.
@realjuvelive There are 3 versions of Studio 12...Basic...Ultimate and Ultimate Collection. If you have Ultimate or Ultmate Collection just follow my description I posted to you above 6 days ago.
@SuperDarkNeutral It sounds like you might need an audio filter or a special audio editing appliation to do that. Pinnacle Studio does come with a bunch of audio filters but high pitch is not one of them. Pinnacle Studio does have "Pitch" Control when you are speeding up or slowing down a video clip with audio.
@SuperDarkNeutral I just tried it and it did not do the audio. I thought that past versions use to do it. I might be thinking about my Pinnacle Liquid product that would reverse the audio of music and reverse the audio of the video too. Getting my products mixed up. Sorry!
@Goji73 Yes Pinnacle Studio will let you use keyframes for precise editing. For example, under the 2D Editor Advanced you will see a box that says, "Use Keyframes"...select this box and you will be able to do precise edits of your video.
@TMSmonster Did the videos get deleted off of your Computer Harddrive? If yes, then you are going to have to reload them on to your computer. Did you move the videos on your hard drive to a new folder, then yes you are going to have to show Studio from the Edit Screen where those new videos are located.
@ShotgunProductions50 I would do a search on the internet...Pinnacle SRP for Studio 14 Ultimate Collection is 129.99 on there website, but I just did a quick internet search and found it for as low as 95.00. There are three versions of the software. I like the Ultimate Collection which is the highest version because it comes with 6 plug-ins from Red Giant Software.
@Gepimp969 Do you have a Pinnacle Studio Moviebox? That is the USB box that will let you play S-video and Composite Video out of your computer. Most HDMI Tv's also have S-Video and Composite Video Connections, so you can plug into the TV using those conncetions. Or you could always burn to a DVD or Blu-ray Disc and play your footage back that way too.
pinnacle for editing video game footage is easily the worst product it sticks and jams the whole time and footage just gets corrupt for no reason (and no its not my pc this is the only program that i have that has any problem what so ever). the only use i can think of this is to record game footage and edit it else where because this software is a complete joke
@LeDucDude If you go to the Pinnacle Website, you should be able to download a free Trial Version. This way you can try out the software before you buy it.
@darkblood63 Do you mean cut a video? If so, you can use the razor tool just above the timeline. Park the cursor on the video clip and click on the razor tool this will cut the clip. Or you can just grab the end of the video clip in the timeline and drag it to the left...this will also trim the video too. I hope this helps.
@youtubmoses Just double click on the photo in the timeline and this will open the pan and zoom feature. You can now create amazing effects like panning across the photo or zooming in and out of the photo...this will bring your photos to life like in a documentary.
I have a question. I jsut got this and have no idea how to import video clips to start editing. i pick a folder that has videos but it wont show up. HELP!
@OnlyOneTem How are you importing your videos? DV (firewire) or USB? Via firewire use the capture tool inside of Pinnacle. If you are using USB, then transfer your clips to a folder on your harddrive and then look at them from the Edit tab.
@lilstealthking You could add an external hard drive to your computer. If you do that I recommend you add a drive that has 7200 rpm, because this would be fast enough for you to handle editing your video off of an external hard drive.
I got Dazzle Video Creator and I figured out the the best quality possible and is almost HD! Check out my channel for videos. Send me a comment if you'd like to know my settings & setup.
Yo! I have a simple question to ask. When I am making a video how can i fast forward a scene? I want to save that fast forward so that each the movie plays that scene get's fast forwarded. Please help me!
Hey guys I really like making videos I have a Dazzle DVC 100 and I edit videos with Pinnacle I've had this for about 4 months with no problems but now two problems happened I don't know how to fix them! Please help me.
Problem 1)When I edit the video I put music in and it's fine when i preview it the sound doesn't show up or anything.
2) Sometimes when I record I preview it and it's fine and sometimes it really fast/sped up.
When I download my videos to Pinnacle there is always a bunch of them saying, failed to upload. I download them on 2 computers, one high speed, and lots of them still failed to upload. It's a fucking waste of my time.
Why does this company chose not to release a trial version? This doesn't keep people from stealing it (seen by the how to get it for free videos here). I'm one of the honest people who will buy software if it serves my purpose. However, I probably won't buy this because I don't know what to expect in performance.
whats so different about pinnacle studio when compared to sony vegas and after effects. sony vegas and pinnacle are virtually the same. after effects can do these things even better but in a more complex way. i dont see how it's better than vegas tho.
i have a problem on putting my videos onto youtube. all it says is: "error: Failed to publish your project to the web. This may be an internal issue with the video hosting service provider."
@Punchy871 that is my problem. the farthest i can get is rendering or whatever its called, but it wont upload. it has gone to 2% uploaded. but that was only once.
Can someone help me? I record myself playing my drums along with a studio recording. I use pinnacle to mix me and the studio recording together. About halfway through or so the two start to go out of sync. Why?
I've seen this problem before when I use to make music videos years ago. The speed of the tape and the speed of the video tape might be different and over time they would eventually get out of sync when laying both tracks together. Probably not the answer you want to hear but I hope it helps.
Please. Help me! I am having my worst problem ever on Pinnacle Studio and I usually find Pinnacle Studio very much reliable.
I can't record sound unless it's from a mic and whenever I record from a mic, it just fuzzes and doesn't work. To make things worse, I can't even change the settings to record the normal audio from my video games when using Pinnacle to record from my dazzle. I can't get any good audio now because it wants to record by mic and that doesn't work properly. Please help!
Did you try disconnecting the microphone and rebooting the computer? Make sure that the microphone is disconnected and that your dazzle is connected before rebooting... then launch your editing software.
Okay. Thank you! I'll try that. Hopefully it will work. The only thing is, the mic that it is using is actually part of the computer. I'll try to see if disconnecting the RCA cables of the Dazzle itself will work. Hopefully it will.
If you go into the project preferences in Studio you can select Widescreen as a preset. All Titles are created in Title Deko. I am sorry to hear that you found the uploader to be terrible...I have found the complete oposite...in fact...I can not believe how fast my videos upload directly from the Pinnacle Studio Timeline.
At the present time, if you want to put a video in a Higher Quality you are going to have to go to the You Tube Uploader. I know that is not the answer you want to hear, but is a way that will work.
The YouTube Uploader for Studio 12 is TERRIBLE. The audio sucks and there's no widescreen feature. You guys could have done WAY better,
Lots of the stuff you put in this video was the hard way too. For titles, you never explained how to create a title and that the titles page is useless.

There are three versions of the software. I like the Ultimate Collection which is the highest version because it comes with 6 plug-ins from Red Giant Software.

how do you hook up the pinnacle to a hdmi tv?
Gepimp969 1 year ago

7orqu3 1 year ago
@7orqu3 yes you r right but do you know any other software that do the editing as simple as pinnacle? if yes tell me the name
MrKingPC 1 year ago
@LeDucDude If you go to the Pinnacle Website, you should be able to download a free Trial Version. This way you can try out the software before you buy it.

thank u i just need to know how to clip a vid!!
darkblood63 1 year ago
@darkblood63 Do you mean cut a video? If so, you can use the razor tool just above the timeline. Park the cursor on the video clip and click on the razor tool this will cut the clip. Or you can just grab the end of the video clip in the timeline and drag it to the left...this will also trim the video too. I hope this helps.

How do you zoom in and out of a picture or video?
youtubmoses 1 year ago
@youtubmoses Just double click on the photo in the timeline and this will open the pan and zoom feature. You can now create amazing effects like panning across the photo or zooming in and out of the photo...this will bring your photos to life like in a documentary.

I have a question. I jsut got this and have no idea how to import video clips to start editing. i pick a folder that has videos but it wont show up. HELP!
OnlyOneTem 1 year ago
@OnlyOneTem How are you importing your videos? DV (firewire) or USB? Via firewire use the capture tool inside of Pinnacle. If you are using USB, then transfer your clips to a folder on your harddrive and then look at them from the Edit tab.

I only have like 14 mins of video filming on mine how do I get more space?
lilstealthking 1 year ago
@lilstealthking You could add an external hard drive to your computer. If you do that I recommend you add a drive that has 7200 rpm, because this would be fast enough for you to handle editing your video off of an external hard drive.

When I download my videos to Pinnacle there is always a bunch of them saying, failed to upload. I download them on 2 computers, one high speed, and lots of them still failed to upload. It's a fucking waste of my time.

how Dude i had that problem as well but i figure how to fix it. Msg or comment me back and i will tell you how to fix your problem.
Punchy871 1 year ago
Why does this company chose not to release a trial version? This doesn't keep people from stealing it (seen by the how to get it for free videos here). I'm one of the honest people who will buy software if it serves my purpose. However, I probably won't buy this because I don't know what to expect in performance.

whats so different about pinnacle studio when compared to sony vegas and after effects. sony vegas and pinnacle are virtually the same. after effects can do these things even better but in a more complex way. i dont see how it's better than vegas tho.

Can someone help me? I record myself playing my drums along with a studio recording. I use pinnacle to mix me and the studio recording together. About halfway through or so the two start to go out of sync. Why?
ad101276 2 years ago

Sly88Frye 2 years ago
Did you try disconnecting the microphone and rebooting the computer? Make sure that the microphone is disconnected and that your dazzle is connected before rebooting... then launch your editing software.
Cheers,
Anthony
AnthonyMartorina 2 years ago
Okay.

How do I upload my videos to YouTube from Pinnacle and get higher quality?
ZhiHaoSG 2 years ago
At the present time, if you want to put a video in a Higher Quality you are going to have to go to the You Tube Uploader. I know that is not the answer you want to hear, but is a way that will work.
Cheers,
Anthony
AnthonyMartorina 2 years ago
The YouTube Uploader for Studio 12 is TERRIBLE. The audio sucks and there's no widescreen feature. You guys could have done WAY better,
Lots of the stuff you put in this video was the hard way too. For titles, you never explained how to create a title and that the titles page is useless.
