Alt weapon may get a few kills but it attracts unwanted attention. For long killstreaks use Enhanced Optics, go up high and stay far and bring the rain with hell-fires, which despite what the video said, will kill reliably in one shot if placed accurately.

i'm honestly surprised that not alot of people use this. a really useful use of the uav is taking out the aa gun early (if there is one) so the your team's heli can rain death from the sky. (try it in oasis, 1st base) also, since the uav can go farther than people after both mcoms have been destroyed, it can be used to destroy any unmanned vehicles on the enemy's base (like oasis, 2nd base, you can destroy the defender's heli as soon as the 2nd mcom explode).

@xxjub3ixx in the loadout. all the way to the right. theres extra armor smoke bullets thing and theres optics. which allows you to zoom in with a tank or uav or anything like those weapons. so just select the optics on the right side in the loadout and you zoom in.

@rEcKLesSzzz Pretty much. Vehicle Optics is definitely the way to go imo. For those that enjoy K/D, you tend to be able to stay in the UAV much longer and therefore get more kills. For BFBC2 players, the ability to spot enemies on the ground can be a huge boost to your squad. I usually give my friends some eyes in the sky. UAV isn't an attack aircraft, its reconnaissance.

Try to keep a very low profile as possible. Don't go too far into the front line battle. UAV's are great at long distances. Finally, dont use your Alt. Fire too much, because the muzzle flash on the UAV is fuckin' bright as hell and

Also, do not fly so high in the game, that's how you will easily be spotted by enemies. Low level flying is your friend guys, use the terrain to conceal your movement, and use the brush as concealment when you go to a hover. There is no need for you to be in the wide open area to try and kill armored targets

I just use the Vehicle Electric Warfare Package, which acts as a large motion sensor. I destroy groups of enemies as well as buildings, and let my Vehicle Package do the spotting work for me.

Why does everyone use the Alt. W specialization on it? You have to be close to do some real damage, and it's so easy to get shot down. You're better off using the Smoke or Optics specialization, make yourself more useful on it.

If you want to get a 1 shot kill on a tank, aim for the small rectangular area just behind the turret. Warhead spec. doesn't improve the damage. Trust me.

I got 1405 kills in the UAV, 553 of them were roadkills (most on recon guys), and both numbers go up every day.

It's suicide to use the UAV on conquest maps. Rush is a bit safer though, especially on the really, really big maps they added. I like using the optic zoom. I had 3 snipers tied up trying to shoot at me, but I was so far away I could see exactly where their shots were coming from (hehe). It helps to have cover to hide the UAV behind while you're waiting on that missile to reset (trees, hills, buildings, don't just sit up in the air and wait, unless you're spotting enemies).

Using optics you will be far away, but nevertheless, it is much better to go ninja on the UAV. This guide is missing the 2 great perks for UAV: OPTICS and Spoting (playing with recon but you still need to press select). alt weapon is no good. On rush, you fly to to the oposite side of the map so enemy is back turned to you and you can be extremely far away and high. Then you keep spoting and helping your teamates (and scoring 20's). For best score, target 1 com centers, you get +60 points on each helfire+250 for destroying.

HellFire, its a HellFire missile. Another thing to do is just use the HellFires and use the zoom. the Main reason for the UAV is to spot, you will get a helluva lot of points. Stay high up zoom and stay away from the battle.

Best way to use the UAV: Use the scope vehicle spec and fly as high as you can.

You can easily spot people, without them spotting you. You are a tiny pixel up in the sky, where no-one looks, and with the spec you can call in those missles with ease!

Nowadays it's really hard to survive in the UAV for long, once someone spots you there will be atleast one guy who makes it his personal mission to shoot you down. I know i'm usualy that guy...

I don't use the UAV much mainly because i'm trying to plat weapons and i already have plat air, but two quick questions.

How much time does the faster reload spec cut from your hellfire reload time?

And what is that red square reticle that shows up when your hellfire is being reloaded used for?

@phil2894 No kill streaks, you have to drive the tanks, the helicopters, the boats...

They are all around you, just get in one and drive. I'm kind of surprised you didn't pick up on that by yourself.

Some things, like artillery, can only be used by the Recon, but it has nothing to do with killstreaks-you just take out your binoculars and point to where you want the mortars to go (of course, you have to earn the binoculars by earning XP as Recon).
