I'm sorry to hear you were depressed. It's good that you have a better relationship with your mum. My mum passed away when I was younger, and even though parents at your age can be a pain, they love u, and only want the best for you.
I would recommend you talking to them about your account b4 they find out, ask them to watch your vids, b4 they make a decision. Because if they did, they would be impressed, like your viewers are.
As long as you don't give out personal information about yourself such as where you live or what schools you goto, or even what library you goto, then I think your parents will be okay with it!
I think it's okay to be a bit paranoid about this as I usually am paranoid about my accounts and who knows what! So just let your parents know your careful and listen to their suggestions! They just want the best for you!

I think your parents have every reason to be very proud of their daughter. I cant see why they wouldnt let you post to youtube.
