Well there happens to be a pro American french president at the moment who is taking France back into NATO fully. The perfect example is Afghanistan. On 9/11 the US our NATO ally was attacked. 1000s of civilians were killed including about 70 British citizens.
NATO was united and supported invading afghanistan. 7 years on some countries continue to contribute to the battle and others dont.
Many EU countries are unwilling to send their troops into combat or contribute troops at all. Which means some countries are doing most of the work.
Where are most of our European brothers when we need them?

If your from the netherlands you should be angry too because your country is contributing whilst others sit back and do sod all.
The south of Afghanistan is the major problem area and thats where Canadian, British, Dutch, some Polish and ofcourse many american troops are.
The Netherlands has lost 4 troops so far this year, Canada 14, Britain 27, USA 85. France and Germany 0.
The two major european powers of France and Germany are shaming Europe by not assisting when allies need help.
