  • I'm ok with the slo mo. I hate when the camera man celebrates and screws up the shot.

  • @babyman50 It was the people in front of me who kept celebrating and jumping up. There is a professional version DVD out there for $25

  • why the fuck do you have to rewind it and then redo it in slow motion? it makes it gay as shit. damn

  • @ayeezhu Because I shot it - I wanted to and I DID.

  • im a de la salle fan, but i have to admit de la salle never stood a chance. the other team was way bigger and faster and more talented. usually de la can hang with bigger strong teams with their discipline, but bellevue is just as disciplined and that was de la salles worst team in 15 years, that same team went 8-3-2 that year and tied against a team that my shitty high school beat

  • How come Bellevue doesnt have the balls to come play in California?

  • @averyr18 They are playing @ Mission Viejo against Oaks Christian September 3rd, 2011 in a 3 game event. Also, In 2009 they went TO Texas. So much not not having balls...

  • Wikipedia: "Bellevue Washington" - the link is under "more info" above.

  • so is bellevue a college too?

  • @bigkillpac

There is a community college in Bellevue, that is pushing to become a 4 years school, but no, Bellevue High School is not connected to BCC. I've posted the URL for the Wikipedia page on Bellevue.

  • katy would get estroyed by a ohio team like glenville

  • come to ohio and play

  • I believe Bellvue runs the Double Wing offense actually! Which is somewhat different from the Wing T.

Katy/ Bellvue/ De La Salle/ Lakeland/ LB Poly/ Euless Trinity/...................are all schools with fine football programs. But, my money would be on Duncan Byrnes Rebels to beat them all! The traveling excuse is lame btw. Look back across the last 6 or seven years at the itinerary. with games in Ohio(a couple), Louisania, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina.

  • brother brady is the reason why we lose the streak.

  • damn learn how to spell california.

    "Calafornia"

  • Over 2 years - 11,297 views - you are the first person to mention it.

You are the sharpest pickle in the bottle!

Have you EVER made a typo?

  • I was at this game, and it was unreal! Should have been one of Softy's all time greatest upsets, but no one called it in!

  • Slow-Mo gets annoying....i but only good footage of the game...

  • what kind of defense was de la salle running this game? from the angle of the 1st touchdown bellvue had it looked like a 3-5. if ti was, not a good defense for wing-t.

  • bellevue ran a 4-4, but it depends whether they lined up in G-force or just base,

  • I used to go to de la salle now i go to bellevue its crazy

  • Bellvue plays Katy HS, 5a Texas champs in september... big game! i wonder how well Katy will handle Bellvue's perfected wing t. Its different than any other wing t, and every player on that team has been running it since they were 6. - at 4:15 - 4: 30 watch the confusion on the defense (#20). It truly is frustrating and difficult to defend.

  • Katy won the 2007 state championship by defeating a wing-T offense that was more talented than their defense. Katy gave up 7 points and about 150 yards rushing (one run for 50 yds). Katy forced them to pass.

Bellevue will have to defeat Katy's O-line to win!

  • I've not watched a Bellevue (or ANY HS) game since '04, so I have no clue what they have for talent or motivation. I do know that it all comes down to kids making plays. Watching film of Jake Locker in HS, you see him as someone who stands out as a play maker and a leader. Who is going to be the next Eric Block for Bellevue? Before this game, he was not even on De Lasalle's radar - nor most other people's...

  • wing t always is the first few plays. a truely talented defense or just a great scheme wrecks it though. unfortunately for bellevue katy has both.

it will be an interesting game, but katys whole defense is set to destroy the wing. that was the big system back in the 80s-early 90s when katys head coach/ long time defensive coordinater coach josepth set out to stone wall.

funny enough bellevues coaches came down to katy in 06 to learn out defense.

gonna be an awesome game! :D good luck guys!

  • I actually attended DLS my freshman and softmore year and (04,05) and then I moved up to washington were i went to bellevue highschool i was on both football teams (jv 2 years for dls and 2 years of varsity for bellevue) i can honestly say... De La salle>Bellevue it was a very bad team probably one of the worst they had in a while if u look at the over all record for that years team i think DLS actually ended with a loosing recond

  • Well, there is BS in some part of your story -

    1. Your profile says 27 years old.

    2. I did not see any mention or story about a De LaSalle player transferring to Bellevue in any of the media here in Seattle. That would have been a story.

    3. Bellevue kicked De LaSalle's rears on that night in 2004. Breaking the mystique of the streak was something that no other team had done. Once that spell is broken, other teams see hope - where in other years they were psyched out.

    Bellevue did that...

  • As for me, I am not from Bellevue, I played small college football in Minnesota many years ago. For us, the team to beat was Saint Johns University & it still is.

Every few years we pull one out and beat them, but the gravity of having a coach who has been there 50+ years and has won more games than any other coach, is a hard thing to beat. The officials may not give St Johns all the breaks, but they are damn sure that they never make a bad call against his team.

    Winning coaches have that power

  • (baller4life52)i went to bellevue 05-09 and there is no bellevue De la salle transfer to play football. i know the whole team, so i know your bullshitting that and its funny that your so angry de la salle lost that you had to lie on youtube, haha thats funny

  • the 04 de la salle team was their worst football in twenty years. they had beatn every football power on the westcoast for several years. They had not one div. 1 prospect on that team.

  • i was reading the article online and it said eric block was a sophomore making his first ever start as a high school quarterback dang what a way to start by beating california's best team

  • the crazy thing is, block was a sophmore this game

  • I know - and it was before classes had started, so he had not yet attended a High School class yet...

It was an impressive night all around...

With all of the blocking schemes and the way Block hid the ball, De La Salle did not know what the hell was going on... If you watch the slow-mo plays on the first few long runs by Bellevue you can see how great the fakes and influence blocking really was.

Not one pass or punt by Bellevue. My guess is that was a first for De La Salle - ever.

  • i still got my ticket from that game

  • i go to ferndale hs, the team that bellevue later beat in the 2004 3A state championships. man, they were a great team that year. its alright though, jake locker led the FHS eagles to a state championship the next year, so no harm done.

  • Very Cool! Ferndale was a great team too that year... and the next...

A coach from Sedro-Woolley sent me some tapes of Ferndale that year.

Let's hope that Jake will be playing in the Apple Cup next year! Eric Block & Kevin Lopina (the two QB's from this game) are both on the WSU team...

  • thats interesting. and the funny thing is that his cousin, casey locker, who is a senior this year, might be going to Wazzu next year to play safety. it would be fun watching jake on offense and casey on defense. i just hope jake doesnt get hurt at all next year.

  • Woo! Hell yeahhhhhh. Bellevue did awesomeeeee. =D I totally forgot about this thing, it was like 4 years ago. The game was crazy, and performing on that field was hella crazy toooo. What a night to remember!!

  • It's interesting - listening to the U of Washington vs Washington State U game - The Apple Cup... Both Kevin Lopina (The QB for De La Salle) and Eric Block (the Bellevue QB) are both playing for WSU

  • FUCK BELLEVIEW. DE LA SALLE IS THE BEST HS FOOTBALL TEAM EVER. ANYDAY, ANYTIME,ANYWHERe. you WILL get fucked up.

  • Well, on that night in September, they got their rear ends kicked up and down the field. Bellevue did not throw the ball once - nor punt once and thoroughly outplayed DLS.

I was one of the 25,000 people there that night and saw it.

My guess is that you were not there.

On that day, they were defeated.

  • wat was the score?

  • The final score was 39-20 Bellevue - but it was not even that close. DLS had 20 at the half.

"With 14-year-old sophomore Eric Block making his first high-school start at quarterback, Bellevue didn't attempt a pass the entire game but rushed 54 times for 463 yards.

The Spartans were held scoreless in the second half as Bellevue forced two Kevin Lopina interceptions and a punt in the second half. The rest of the half was eaten up by the Wolverines' dogged ground attack..."

  • Im not going to make excuses for De La Salle but it took a miracle for Bellevue to defeat De La Salle. Im willing to bet that If Bellevue doesnt take a couple of concepts from De La Salle and if De La Salle isnt fresh of the Hangover of the murder of stud LB/RB/TE Terrance Kelly De La Salle beat Bellevue on 9.4.2004. You have to understand that De La Salle is so great because they arent about football, they're about family. how can you ask a team of 16-17 year old to fly 4 hours to play a game..

  • ..of football after one of their teammates, a young man who mind you had accomplished something great and on the verge of moving out of California's statistically most crime ridden city, had gotten shot in the head and murdered just 3 week earlier. you think their hearts and souls were into football? no. their minds were with the father of Terrence Kelly.

    RIP T.K.

  • I didn't see any "fucking up" this past year when you guys were in the EBAL. True you beat all of the teams there, but I didn't see a ton of "fucking up" from De La Salle during the regular season.

Oh, and I'm sorry who lost to Centennial in the playoffs 21-16... Oh that's right, De La Salle. Some "fucking up" man.

  • this is probably one of the most important high school football games ever

  • I mean seriously...first play...TOUCHDOWN! what freakin beasts. JR hasty if you read this man, you have the opportunity to do something at UW, do whatever it takes. You got skills

  • Man, I really wish the Seahawks were in the superbowl.

  • HOLY SHIT ive never seen soo many ppl at a highschool game

  • i liked how offensive linemen go before the snap.... i wish we could do that in my high school

  • I noticed that too... Some of the De La Salle plays (their 2nd TD) it looks like the back and the ball move at the same time, but the line freezes for a count.

  • yeah... i go to concord high school.

de la salle still do that today. i have been to some of their home games, and daaaamn they're the BEAST in both sides of the ball. =/ Have you been to one of their games?

  • The Bellevue WA vs De La Salle game was the first and only game. Myself and @25,000 others witnessed the breaking of "The Streak" here at Qwest Field (Seahawks home) here in Seattle. Bellevue that year was a machine. A team of first class fullbacks - fast & strong running the Wing-T

  • Ferndale WA came close in the 2004 title game with Jake Locker (the current UW redshirt freshman QB) who I think will win the Heisman by his Sr year. He is the most complete FB player I have ever seen. Big fast strong and a true leader. He could start at 8+ of 22 positions on any team.

  • my freshmen team beat de la salle 2 years ago.

  • This was the only High School football game that I have been to in about 20 years. Although, years ago, I was the announcer for my High School team after I had graduated and played in college for a year. Back then, we lost a lot We were the small fish! this season the Hawley High School Nuggets (MN), have outscored their opponents 579-40. This is small school ball though, and they would be severely beaten by De La Salle or Bellevue. Being a big strong fish in a small bowl has it's advantages!

  • thats a shit load of people. and yeah the slow motion and rewind is annoying.
