the charger didn't blow up because it was worked, but even so the movie clearly shows the oil pressure light constantly coming on, simple he keeps driving like that the charger blows the engine

No way a Nascar could keep up with a Charger. Nascars are only good for about 200mph. Any stock standard Valiant Charger off the show room floor could do 200mph in first, 300 in second, 400 in third and no one knows what happened in forth cos they jumped into hyperspace and made the kessel run in less than twelve par-secs.

This is not my favourite Ben Mendelsohn movie for one good reason. What strikes me is that unlike most movie car chases you see, you believe that it's the actor behind the wheel (because I think it is and hope it isn't at the same time, and yet again am livid at Stanislavski) and it is just terrifying (but brilliant... damn!). I like my car chases pathos free thank you! See this is what you get when you get Ben Mendelsohn.
