3. The commercial starts out sometime in the mid-to-late 70s, judging by the hairstyles, dress, Nugent song, etc. So that would be between 35-40 years ago and the kid is about ten. So in 2012 that would make him between 45-50 years old, yet he appears to be in his late 30s.

A few things:

1. There are speed limits. It doesn't matter how fast a motorcycle or a car can go, and they can all go at about the same speed anyway, even if you were speeding.

2. Wouldn't the man find out online if a car is safe and not just take the word of the car salesman that the car is safe?
