I lost my two boys 2.5 yrs ago on the same day 10 hours apart. One died at home in my Mom's arms and my Siamese, my Sweet Akasha, was put down 10 hours later due to severe pain brought on my cancer. My Golden died 6 months ago. I still have two small dogs and love all animals. These cats are/were lucky to have you!
@Corriebeth6 You are correct. One was hit by a car and a year or so later the calico died from old age. She was a happy outdoor feral cat for many years. I loved coming hoe from work each day to these two. It will never be the same.

That is just toooo cuuuute!!!!! I have 6 cats inside & 3 outside & none of them are like that. Although 2 are affectionate with each other(we brought in a feral kitten 9 years ago & our oldest girl actually allowed her to suckle, even though she was fixed & is very haughty!) I live in the country and we get a lot of drop-offs that we take care of. It's very sad. If you live near me, I am willing to help you out with the food. Please people, a pet is a LIFETIME commitment don't abandon them!!!

I've bought many types of the more expensive (supposedly healthier) brands of wet and dry food, and my cats won't eat it. They like Friskies, Fancy Feast and Meow Mix. I am willing to spend the money to feed them something more healthy but I can't stand to throw expensive cat food away time after time, or see them be hungry.
we had a kitten named Miro, after the painter. he bugged the crap out of our old cat until he played with him finally. after much of that, they were practically inseperable. i would find them napping together.
I understood perfectly what he meant, although it was good of you to clarify it. I do not care if this wild cat who lives in the city gets raw food enzymes for good health in all things or not. I'm keeping her alive by feeding her better fare than offered by dumpsters. She is 15 years old. She cannot hunt.
@JillieoftheValley I give my 6 Friskies and Nine Lives and some special bladder diet by science diet for the dry and I have one 3 year old a 5 year old a 15 year old an 18 year old a 20 and a 21 year old so while I agree they need moist food as cats aren't big water drinkers in the wild I can't see anything holding mine back.

It wasn't meant to be.
Sadly, Mr. Blond Cat was horribly injured in Janurary. I suspect he was hit by a car. He hid in the woodpile, yowling. I couldn't coax him out. Animal control came and dissasembled the woodpile. He was already unconcious by the time they reached him. He did not survive.
@ulfsark9 Maybe this will cheer you up. I once saw a cat that had been hit by a car. I pulled over and stood in front of it in the road to wave cars around it. Finally another car stopped that had a cell phone. They phoned animal control and parked their car over the animal. I stood out there still waving cars around the parked car. This was a side road at night so there were not many cars but enough that the cat stood little chance without this. Rescue came. The cat was preggers. Saved them :)
very sad. i saw a dead kitty in the road, hit by a car. i flipped a u-turn, parked on the nearest side street, ran out & picked him up & set him on the sidewalk. he didn't have a collar so i knocked on the first door i could. a lady opened her door & I burst into tears & told her what happened. she said the kitty was her neighbor's & she would tell them what happened & where to find their kitty. i didn't place the kitty on their porch for fear their kids would see him. so sad
All these months I couldn't put my finger on why they reminded me of something every time they'd perform their "dance." Thank you, Xadreos, for your comment.

Dont feed them with Whiskas, they will live longer without it. Animals in nature dont eat food with additives. Only real fish and meat.

I give the remaining cat Friskies; both canned and dry. Feral cats usually eat road kill. This is gourmet fare.
