Ya that about made me crazy. I had no idea what I was doing. It did turn out to be the bad head gasket.

lol I had like a hose of water out of my exhaust today.... lol? I'm taking it off today to see if theres a reserve of water in teh muffler as the cars been sat for a few months. And before then only taken on short journeys.

yo u need to buy a jack and jack stands or drive back to ohio and ill let u borrow mine =)

So I did find the O-ring on the thermostat is kinda trashed so thats my leak. Now I am going to adjust the valves according to spec in the service manual. It says about .17mm of clearance for intake and exhaust between rockers and cams. I might try and do it without the tool first. any ideas?

my civic does the same thing at idle, and I already replaced my head gasket. mine has this tapping noise when I drive it too.

ya thats for sure I just checked compression and its 210-210-100-100=1234. someone says piston rings but who knows cuz I don't!
