my percy jackson ultimate guide came in the mail on thursday i was so happy

and i now own my third copy of the book, i need to find a copy with the original cover on it

so i have the second cover paper back, a collectors' edition, and the now made into a motion picture cover :)

I was a little annoyed that Grover was black and Annabeth was a brunette but I've gotten over it. I saw the trailer and I loved how Grover and Annabeth were and as long as there good actors and likable their looks don't really matter to me.

I personally LOVE the fact that they are 17 because I think its more interesting to watch teenagers go on an adventure that it is children. Plus it will probably result in a lot more people who haven't read the books watching the movie.

i went to see fantastic mr. fox wednesday and i saw that my movie theater had the posters every where for the movie. i almost had a heart attack while standing there. im going to try and see if i can get a movie poster from the theater when the movie comes closer

lol I only recently started reading the books but I've pretty much been obsessed since I first started. It makes me laugh to remember that when I first saw the elevator trailer for this movie I was like "WTF? This looks so vague...not interesting at all." Now I'm totally eating my words.

i started reading the books back in 2006 when i was in eighth grade. and i think that the news about this movie started in 2007. then people were casted in 2008.

but i have seen the whole process of making this movie. at first the movie was going to be produced by disney. thank god thats not happening now

I like some Disney movies, but ya I think Disney making it would've killed it.

I was reading an article where the producer of the movie was saying how it was going to be about 2 and a half hours long. Personally I'm happy that they are making it long because we'll get a better background (hopefully) and I'll get to watch/enjoy it for more time!

yeah i rather sit through a longer movie then a short one where you want more.

at least we all know that if the movie goes over well there will be more, so if there is a cliff hanger, or if they leave stuff open there is more to come

I think having a cliffhanger would be a lot like the books. Usually when I finish a book in the series I don't feel like its really an ending, all I can think is "now I wanna go to the next book and continue reading." I have a feeling the movie is gonna be like that too.

lol a bit? A 17 year old won't be in the same school he was in from the book, won't have the same attitude as he'll be nearly an adult, won't have the same personal life, won't be in the same personal situations or shouldn't. Basically everything will be similar but different.

And the movie making process isn't that easy. They'd have all 5 films done by 2012 or summer 2012 if they went as fast as they could. But he's already older than the character at the end of the story in the book lol

What's most important to me is that they keep the ironic tone of the book cuz that's the reason why I love the PJO series:D

According to Logan Lerman there will be an epic aerial lightning bolt battle at the end of the movie, so I'm still very excited:D

yeah i like seeing movies on the first night because you can see how people react in the theater i saw twilight when it came out and there was a lot of screaming it was crazy i just hope they dont kill it
