@nothingsofaragain cant shoot someone with a real gun without blanks (which can still kill) or a life sentence. Plus an M60 i can shoot at others with for $400 over a real one that I can rarely fire, plus seeing how im in cali cant even own, for $20g? Yeeeaaah.
you say you think it is light compared to aother lmg's, your right, but by far i would rather use the l85a2 in training exercises then the lsw because the lsw is much heavier then the l85a2, and the l85a2 is a teeny tiny bit shorter doesnt have a bipod or rear grip, therefore the same, threrfor thats why, the british army do not use the lsw anymore.
Version 2 gearbox, short type motor. Very upgradable. Trust me I have this gun (l85) and called evike at least 3 times to make sure it was a v. 2 w/ short type motor.
Hey I really am looking to get this but from what i heard is that some parts are a pain in the arse to find, such as the motor cage... I looked on ICS's web site and it looks like that mostly external pieces are available. What internal parts are specific to this gun? Any help would GREATLY be appreciated, thanks :)
Lesson 4 actually being able to hit something. That grip on the rear is to support the weapon whilst firing from a Prone stance because it works as compared to you useless yanks spraying all over the place hitting everything but what you were aiming at.
I wold have to say from a marksman's point of view this is a great gun, the long inner barrel length can allow you to put a tighbore in and achieve great accuracy this gun also comes with a bipod, and scope adaptions can be made, hell even if your playing a support role, tighbore would allow you to cover people from 200-300 feet, it may not be great for a high volume of fire like an m249, but I would rather have this
the rear grip makes a lot of sense if you've ever fired any kind of LMG. You pull the stock into your shoulder to counter the recoil and increase your stability.
@MoreButterMOREBUTTER unlikely, unless u can take off the forgrip and stick on a daniel defence L85 RIS and stick an M203 on the end, but like i said, probly not possible, but worth a try
first off, it's a support gun based off of a normal rifle system (like the rpk), so the lighter weight does make sense. and second, the grip at the rear makes more sense when you consider that with any other support system (like the m249), you would hold onto the stock in the prone position to stabilize the weapon, and having a bullpup design would make that a bit more difficult to pull off.
@5252085 i agree i have shot this wepon with live rounds whilst on field training with army cadets on semi and full auto with live rounds on the range and it is very nice but quite heavy and the rear grip is very good while in prone fireing full auto
I recently ordered a m16 spr mod 0 from evike.com and I ordered it on the 31st of december and its been 11 days. is this normal for evike shipping or should i be concerned?
That bolt release is like that for ease of use. When in firing position, using the bolt lock to release would bring you out of firing postition slightly.. Quik slap and you are ready to rock. This is a great Airsoft replica, ICS did a wonderful job on it.
@cmzangetsu1993 I agree. But keep in mind that this isn't MW2, it seems geared more toward realism than any L85 variant I've seen. Maybe the M4 dual drum mag will work though.
dont get me wrong, I love the L86 but....... If I were to get a support weapon I would have to get the MK249 Saw. this gun gives u more bang for your buck and is more ideal. the L86 is more of an in between gun, it can't decide on being an assult rifle or LMG.
