@ritatgirly Well it was muted! I was guessing what their voices would sound like and probably added sarcasm in the wrong spots (which was most spots I guess- I made it all very sarcastic). It's not like I thought the premise was humorous. I just...distorted it since I didn't know. It took me a while to even figure out she got kidnapped in the first place. That's why someone needs to post the movie because I really want to know how it really went, lol! :)

This is definitely one of the best Lifetime movies ive seen. Though I definitely think that with some more in-depth writing and a studio to back it up then they could have taken this story to the big screen. The acting was a little bit too good to only be a Lifetime movie, though Lifetime seems to just keep getting better and better actors. They really know what they are doing :)

well it happened in Kearney, Nebraska, I lived in Kearney when it happened, I looked up what I could about it but was kinda dissapointed in what I found didn't really tell all that much but I'm sure if you look harder you'll find something more in depth...I don't know that's all I got for ya

I would think if she consented to the Movie! She would insist they paint him as the True beast he is. Not gloss over how BAD he really was to her. Besides the 1 Rape in the movie they didn't make him look like the Evil SOB he really is enough! I had never looked up a "Character" in a real life Movie B4! But, I wanted to know how much of a creep he really was. And as good as Van Der Beek's acting was, he was too good looking to hate. The REAL Zappa's picture gave me the creeps! Still a GOOD Movie

You act like attractive people cant be crazy...? There are just as many good looking murderers, rapists, thieves, kidnappers, etc. as there are unattractive ones. And if you find pictures of the real Tony Zappa online he really isnt very ugly. He's big, and more of a football player type, but Van Der Beek is like that as well.

This movie was really great! I was surprised that the Dawson boy James Van Der Beek could play such a character. Sara who played Ann did a fantastic job. I can't believe that the poor girl was raped multiple times in reality. I'm sure this movie was just the tip of the iceberg of what Ann truly endured!

A couple down falls. I didn't like how they made you almost feel sorry for Zappa in this Movie. Until he raped her! And again when he surrendered! And that Mike the Cop who was a friend of the family, was a fictional character! And his entire role never happened in the real story! That was really disappointing since his part was so HUGE! I wonder why they did that? Spoze cuz it really did add to the Movie!?!?!

L.time Movies had been BAD for years. Lousy casting ruined what may have been Good Movies Not this One! Oh No! Vander Beek, did a phenomenal Job. Best he's EVER done. Don't know why the Girl who played Ann isn't in alot of movies, she's really a GOOD actress!

I live in MN 20 min frm MOA! We watched 100's of Cops/ FBI on TV, lock down the Mall. Still Zappa got by them? Ann saved her own life staying calm+observant in a terrifying situation! Incredible guts and bravery for a Girl of only 17!

Yes, Anne Sluti was raped in real life.  She admitted that he raped her about four times during the duration of her kidnapping.
