when he won, he put both his hands in the air. with no one to steer, and his hands blocking the air intake, the engine overheated, seized, and sent him into the barriers.

Brambilla was crazy, but also totally unique - no one has ever won a race and crashed immediately after seeing the chequered flag!

@hyperwhizzkid Yes they have. Davey Allison of NASCAR fame crashed after winning at Charlotte in 1992.
