For those it doesn't work for: get a faster kart. I first kept trying and trying but failed continiously, but when I switched to a faster kart it suddenly became impossible to fail.

idk, I did this with a kart that had higher acceleration, it works too.

@3309Leon Acceleration shouldn't matter if you're sped up anyway. And I used a max-acceleration build on which the shortcut didn't work (I then used a max-speed build instead, with terrible acceleration, and it worked)

I went maximum acceleration. Hop, hop, hop, hop as high as possible on the edge ( first edge ). At the moment you fall down you'll respawn in the cave ^^. Maybe if done properly it's fasters online ;). Not a WR strat for sure.

Nice shortcut. You should show the Wuhu Mountain Loop 'glitch'. You have to wait until entering the cave, but instead of going into it, you use a mushroom to fall into the big lake next to you. You'll then get picked up by Lakitu like all the way on the top near the 3rd lap.
