hey might wanna get urself a protein skimmer or DIY skimmer. even a DIY sump that u can easily do with research here in you tube. i started mine same with 30 gallon with two filter that is rated for 30 - 45 gallon, DIY skimmer, jet flows, heater, and T5 light that i got in craigslist. But upgrade my skimmer to seaclone 100 protein skimmer then build a sump that i got the desigh here. well good luck. hope you tank is doing good and enjoy

@MrJayjay3669 Hey I do have a protein skimmer I just haven't made a video update in about 6 months. I'm not a big fan of the seaclone skimmers I hear they have a bad review. I would love to have a sump but I just don't have the room

@aquariumcentral oh kool. yea the seaclone is workin fine 4 me. & i actually move the skimmer 2 my sump. yeah sump is the idea. try doing a plastic container trickled sump with bio balls & chamber & marine mud or live sand or even crash corals and rock with chaeto. i saw one here in you tube. so u dont have those filters hang in the back and ur skimmer. but hey its a great starter. so goodluck with ur tank. hope u keep us update ur tank. its an addiction. jus got my new 90g tank. go reefing, man

@CrunchyLove15 Ya you don't really need a skimmer. If your going to keep corals I would recommend one. Otherwise just keep up with the water changes

you should get two coral catfish they are great fish and very good cleaners put them in look at ur sand the next day.

I will say this my friend , just some knowledge for the Mantis Shrimp you have the A.K.A the pistol shrimp . It will eat your fish they are very aggressive and if they hit you in the finger it will bruise or split . Go check out the Mantis Shrimp on youtube ,

@sdakjln at the time of this video I did not have a protein skimmer, in my next video update I'll talk about my skimmer. You basically don't need a skimmer if you'll do a 10% water change once a week

I'm no saltwater fish expert, but the petco people said not to keep more than one clownfish in a tank together, but I think they meant males. Because They have to breed, like Bettas do. You can have a male and female, just not male and male.
