Sorry should of said JBL PRX 615m every time I fire them up they blow me away ... I've had them for about 8 month now, I'm still amazed by the sound quality ..

Great review ... I'm now very glad I went for the jbl prx 165...like you said they should of consulted working DJs ...& not somebody that the heaviest thing they lift all day is a pencil ..

@ozmium71 Are they as loue? That entirely depends on how much power the amp connected to the SX300 is. They sound "better" to me, but that's subjective.

@zaliwins I've not heard the JBL PRX612M. In my opinion the EV's sound better than the QSC K12... way better. The QSC has a more durable enclosure though.

Just ordered the covers.. was putting them in back seat of car wrapped in blanket.. seems that even the slightest tap dents them! But like you said great sound, I love'em.

@djchris40 Yup, Even with covers you'll need to be super careful. EV really blew it with the enclosure design on these speakers.

@djchris40 Chris, do you have covers for them? How bad are yours getting dinged? It's so frustrating to have such a great sounding speaker with such poor durability of the enclosure.

@nortru Glad you found it helpful. I really like the performance of the speaker. they play loud and they sound great. Just wish the enclosure was more durable and ding resistant. Even with covers, my speakers are getting banged up and I handle them very carefully.
