  • Well done

  • Don't see how you can play comfortably with your hi hat so far away.. but I guess I'm used to a smaller kit. Not too bad of a cover, good job.

  • Extrmely well done, u rule, suscribed~

  • fanstastic work on this song, dude, but i highly recommend you to stop doing this weird thing with your fingers while playing doubles.

  • Are those sticks like trees? i don't think i've seen any that huge.

Fucking sweet playing btw. Dw accuracy of the song, when it feels right it pretty much is right.

  • Great band, great drumming. Can you tell me about your gear? Everything sounds really nice.

  • far from correct!? its pretty much note for note! spot bollock on! nice work!

  • I love this song...amazing! <3

  • damn looks like you have tree branches in your hands lol

  • much better than many off the covers on utube. thanks

  • great drumming, Ahead sticks ftw!

  • Holy crap man, this makes me want to redo my cover. That was amazing

  • Seems to b no problem with this monster sticks^^

  • nice cover, but i cant imagine how you can play that high off your set

  • great playing! have you thought about getting a new hihat?

  • Yo dude,if some feedback is welcome by you.I think u should work on some up/down strokes exercises with your arms. They look a little bit stiff,i think it gonna help u alot on your playng, wich is already great,by the way! =)

But thats was Fu""ing great, man.Gavins playing is not a easy thing to study.

U rock! Take care, bro.(sorry for my bad english =X)

  • Play however makes you comfortable dude. Pulling off the Gavin is not easy. That was respectable job my friend.

  • Thanx bro... Peace n Drum On!

  • fag... isnt that short for faggot? which is a type of welsh meatball. so he plays like a welsh meatball. how do welsh meatballs normally play? iv never seen a welsh metalball play drums before

  • Omg, u play with 2 trees, man! xD

    Nice playing!

  • great job!!!

  • great job man!! do u want play with me??

  • Very very great job, and by the way very strange camera angle.......

And of course the very best rep on tube, I'm totally agreed with that........

    Congratulations man.................

    Gavin Harrison rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THATS A BIG ASS SEAT.!! great job..very crisp with everything! Best version on the tube. And that's cause I havent seen Gavin's just yet..!! lol.

  • Fits a fat-ass just about right, LOL

    Thanx too, B.B.

  • whats this china?

the first of the two on the ride side..?!

    thx :)

  • Sabian XS20, 18".... Cheap but it has a great sound. I think it does at least....

  • Very nice playing, you have high precision style. I agree with you Gavin Harrison is totally awesome. The only drummers I put above him are Carl Palmer and Bill Bruford. I love Porcupine Tree and Gavin really made their sound that much better when he came on board. Keep up the great Work.Cheers.

  • I absolutely love Yes and Bill B.

Relayer blows me away time after time...Alan W. kicked ass too.

  • hey dudes. im not a drummer, and i keep seeing all these comments about how difficult or crazy it is to play gavin harrison...is there any particular reason or is he just beast?

  • The man is simply beyond-talented. Its hard to explain...He s just simply better than almost everyone, in this style of playing...But he also incorporates so many different styles into every song, that its hard to classify.

Put it this way..."Gavin Harrison is easily one of the best drummers of all time"....

You can quote me on that, btw...

I got shit on my lip so I m gonna go wash my face. Drum ON!!!

  • try moving your throne back when you play cuz your left elbow looks really akward sticking out far back

  • I ve been told that a few times now... Maybe its the camera angle? Maybe I m just too short? lol... I m about 5'6". And moving back throws off my center of gravity and I cant seem to balance as well. I play heel-up so I gotta be kinda close to the pedals. Damn these short legs! Haha, I ve tried alot of different positions but I always end up back at the same angle. I ve wanted to try the Axis Longboard pedals...too expensive though. Oh well, maybe when I win the lottery, hehe...

  • Wow, absolutely astonishing cover man. Keep the good shit up!

  • Well dome man! You rock Keep Going!!!!

  • Yeah that's why the Aheads are durable. They take the vibrations elsewhere which is either your hands or the cymbals. Anyway maybe you are playing kinda hard.I never broke sticks that often. And I play mainly with 5As which are thin sticks. You should try sticks with thicker taper to last longer. But also maybe watch your technique. Also try watching JoJo Mayer's DVD.Very intuitive on various tecniques. He mentions that even he broke them and explains how he fixed that.Anyway...keep it up mate! ;)

  • Ahead sticks? Oh no!!! try to cut down on those. You might seriously hurt your muscles and if not them your Cymbals won't last any longer. Those damn sticks don't absorb ANY vibrations.Just like the Carbosticks I broke my Meinl Souncaster Custom crash with... :( :(

Anyway,I also use Promarks but 5As with nylon tip.'m thinking of trying the 707s 'cause I incorporate double strokes and I need the rebound offered by the round tip. What are the 747s like?

  • So you dont like the Aheads? I went to em for ONE reason, durability...I love wooden sticks, with nylon tips. BUT they just dont last. I ll break off a tip before I even put a chip in the shaft. It was getting expensive! I notice alot less vibration/shock but alot less rebound. I ve turned to the Moeller TQ to compensate. The 747's are great, they just dont last long enough. If they were cheaper, it d be a different story. Oh and about the cymbals-comes down to technique+ proper attack angle. :)

  • Again, the Aheads were an attempt to cut down on the $ of sticks...A pair a week adds up, ya know? I love the unfinished Promarks: 747, 5A, 7A. But the nylon tips need to be improved. IMO...I havent had a prob with breakin cymbals w/ the Aheads though. As long as you keep it to the "glancing blow" attack, its all good. They dont quite cut it w/ crossticking and shoulder hits I ve noticed, but time spent adjusting V money spent...I m happy with em. I m always open for reccomendations too. DRUM ON

  • seems like you are not sitting comfortably on the set...relax somehow.

otherwise, cool playint ;) keep it up

  • Thanks man. I ve heard that before...maybe its just the way I play. I m usually pretty comfortable at my set, although playin Gavin is a little unnerving for anyone, ya know? I ve also switched back to 747's for the lighter stuff. Those Aheads are great, but freakin heavy and cantankerous LOL. Thanks for all the comments everyone else too! DRUM ON!!!

  • very nice cymbals work

we all should develop a "Gavin Harrison" on style..

  • otro pozolito?!

  • awesome!!!

  • Nice man. Some parts are a little off, but you got the general idea. Its hard to play Gavins parts- hes an absolute monster behind the set.

  • 2:07 is not correct, but the other parts are played good

  • Good shit duder. Keep it up

  • muy bueno!!! buen laburo

  • either it's the camera angle or you're hi-hats are really far to the left that forces you to have such a degree of cross-over, it's really not healthy... for a first attempt you did brilliant :)

  • Very well done, I am impressed. You really nailed it.

  • congratulations from Chilee .

great and amazing job with the drums.. and good song !

    success for you !

  • great job dude ! gavin harrison will be proud ;)

    keep it up

  • hey man thanx for the comment and the well said criticism. Your video looks great, id suggest watching the transitions, and your left arm seems tense, try playing with your shoulder relaxed, and your elbow in towards you, it helps me alot, especially when it comes to stamina. and like you said, DRUM ON!!!

  • Wow man, excellent cover, very detailed and complex! Really nice kit too! Cheers! ;-)

  • Thanks man, hey hows that SOSB comin along, I ve been working at it for a few months now, still not ready to post it though, I took a few cues from your other vid, so I wouldnt mind the help!

  • For my bro, Fairlight, hope all is well!
