One of the biggest negatives in Eichler homes is that thin wood paneling used in place of sheetrock on the interior walls. Not only is wood panelling a major fire risk, but it's a horrible insulator. If your Eichler still has those woodlined walls, consider removing it and replacing it with fire safe sheetrock. Not only will your home be quieter and more energy stable, it will be much more fire safe.

I'm trying to get mine to be beautiful, I have waaay too much to do....

It will be...but yes, I can see where there would be LOTS to do!

This is true--they do need lots of work--esp. now when they are getting to be 30 to 40 yrs old! Some are very beautiful!

if a opportunity arises, make video interior, so that one can see it that. of course as far as possible.

It is BEAUTIFUL inside--with an INNER courtyard patio--OPEN air...Some have think Mexican tile on the floor--GORGEOUS :)
