Defensive plays are not made just on dunks...however you are right... that scenario i prefer having dirk defending me... but in a pick and roll situation i MUCH rather have Shaq defending me... and pick nd rolls are much more common...

He's incredibly skilled and although he's not as athletic as some guys he has some talents that are tailor made for a PG. Great vision, otherworldly hand eye coordination, tremendous footwork and balance, and top level body control and ability to change direction. Combine that with his ambidexterity, stamina, and toughness and you have a formidable player.

kinda sucks tat he didnt get a 3peat. and the mavs did get knocked out of the 1st round in the worst upset in history. But Dirk did play the best of his basketball but Nash had his breakthrough season also averaging 11.6 assists. so hard to say who deserved it but a 3peat would have been nice for Nash

before Nash came to phoenix, they basically have tha same line up except for boris diaw and raja bell... but when he came in, he elevated everyone's game to another level, he made things easy for his team to score and took them to tha conference finals for two years in a row... but last season's defeat to the spurs in the second round should'nt have happened if it was'nt for that dumb ass referee and the suspensions on amare and boris... matter fact they could've gone all the way...

The difference between Steve and Dirk is that Steve wins games. Unfortunately for Dallas, Dirk chokes! Steve deserved to be MVP again. Dirk should have only been awarded the title is he had won this game, and if his team wasn't kicked out in the first round on the playoffs.
