  • u role the ball right to him

  • haha they made us say ball down so much at practice, that in gym class if someone dropped a ball, id accidently yell "BALL DOWN!"

  • its the allstate guy!

  • BALL DOWN

  • Good starter drill for younger skilled players. You can always add a twist, pads, real contact and a goalie as the skills get better.

  • i hate home im soo tall that its sooo hard to do gbs cuz i have to get soo effing far down.

  • @IcenaldicN00bTuber dude I know how you feel I'm a 6'3" defensive player. hell on wheels

  • @MrBarri13 what i do is that i now just put one hand on the bottom and one at the half. its great because you can pass right once you get it. but if i can, i just go one hand. it really pays off to practise it 10 min a day in the backyard.

  • the third defense was the only defender to actually do anything. the others just put out their stick and acted like that would actually do something

  • i love how every drill is designed for the defense to lose

  • @jvb1207 same thing with the goalie, because the midfielders are trying to get goals in practice and every time they do it makes him look like a shity goalie

  • @jvb1207 wen i go to practice b cuz like u said most drills has the d lose we do a "box" drill 1-2 ds in a small box wit an attack :)

  • @jvb1207 if you're saying that you clearly haven't seen all drills.

  • @jvb1207 Its a drill for the offence to score

  • need to wear pads. you'll get hit and checked in a real game.

  • we did full pads and full contact...... besides that, we did everything else the exact same

  • omg we did this exact practice

  • the high school where they're filming this is hammond high school in columbia, md. I go there!

  • tight?

  • nice ground balls, that ground looks like patchy grass and dirt

  • Good points Jim. This is an offensive based drill. Adding all that extra D etc would just bog down the drill. By doing this you can practice basic movements.

  • The purpose of having a defender in this drill is to simply shadow the offensive player and lightly pressure them.

If it was a defensive drill as opposed to an offensive drill, then yeah, the focus would have been on the defensive player's performance, but it's not a defensive drill

  • @jimbobbobaskins x actly if the d was supposed to try to get it theyd play wit pads

  • @jimbobbobaskins yea but if they are playing without defense what happens when they get in in game situations?? they wont know how to doit due to the fact they didnt practicee

  • What you could do is have the d guy actually try first off. then have another d man on the attackmen so he has to work to get open then once he has it, get around his defender and shoot on a GOALIE not just an open net

  • thats what scrimmaging is. this is just a drill to work on primary fundamentals and technique, not all aspects of the game at once.
