We saw these guys last week with Third Day and they really ministered to the crowd that night.....God bless these young men who dedicate their life for the sake of the gospel.
I love this group. YOu know they have a personal relationship with the Creator and Saviour Jesus Chirst. Most of their songs are messages to the lost and/or backslider....and the message is a message of Love of the Creator for His creation. Powerful message and biblical too.
I'm just a tad bit confused here, I mean to me, when i first heard the song I thought to myself 'wow this is God speaking straight to me!' I mean there is so much siad about him in this song, i don't really understand how anyone could say otherwise.
why are they afraid to name the name of Jesus in this song? This is what is wrong with so much christian contemporary music today - the lyrics sound like they are talking about someone's boyfriend or girlfriend instead of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
@ramjo1978 well it's from God to His children. It does not imply that it is from a boyfriend or girlfriend because it says "look at these hands, and my side, they swallowed the grave on that night, when i drank the world's sin, so i could carry you in and give you life" just because a song doesn't mention the name of Jesus does not mean that it's a bad song...they're not afraid, you should listen to some of their other songs..."Lift Us Up To Fall" "we're waiting here, waiting for You God."
@ramjo1978 also another one, "Hallelujah" "Hallelujah for the blood of the Lamb that was slain" straight out of Revelation. There's no doubting to anyone who hears these songs that they are about our God.
@ramjo1978 If you listen to a lot of their songs, they are written as if Jesus is talking to you. It doesn't have to have Jesus' name in it for it to be Christian. These guys write song to lift us up in Christ's name and to worship God.

The words are from Jesus to his children. This song has reached out and spoken right to me so many times when I've heard it on the radio

@ramjo1978 It's supposed to be Jesus talking to us. When you are talking to someone else do you say your own name all the time?
