Jon, lets not pretend like Apples iOS jumped from version 1.0 straight up to 4.0. Firmware updates are almost always incremental. And what do you mean web OS 2.0 is not "revolutionary". Last I checked, the iphone OS design has not changed much since the first iphone released back in 2007. I own an iphone 3G as well as a Pre 2 so I know what i'm talking about.

That favorites button in the phone app was on my Treo 680. BEFORE the iPhone and way before Android. So when you are comparing Palm to those other two, just know that many of the ideas have come from Palm. They were just marketed and refined by bigger companies with perhaps better business sense, but definitely not more creative sense. e.g. touchscreen interface started with Palm, the mute button on the iPhone started with Palm...and Apps. Apps also started on the first smartphone, the Palm.

@slantblant lol i agree with what you say, hp/palm needs to step up on phones but the pre has hidden talents and actually has a 1GHz processor...However its not utilized by the standard palm kernel which sucks, unless you know something about the phone and have preware installed(: which actually makes it a thousand times more fun and lets you unlock the beast

Looks like a solid unit with a solid OS. The touch screen works just fine, just have to know how to use it. Every manufacture of devices will have defective units so just take back and get new unit and redue the review.

Why would you think touchscreen sensitivity is a problem when it's showing the ripple to confirm touch has been registered? Obviously you're doing something wrong and it's feeling the touch.

I've kinda changed my mind, and after owning both an android device and an ios 4 device, i have to say multitasking on ios is way easier than android, and i don't know about wp7, but weOS so far seems about the best at multitasking. so i'd say

Beats Android operating systems hands down in my book. I liked WebOS 1.0 better than Android actually x) Haha at 4:22 he tries to tap it. It's clearly intended to hold. There's no problem with the sensitivity. There'd be a problem if you could tap it and it asked you to change it.

WebOS 2.0 is a VERY good update to palm, especially that you can add as much pages as you want on the menu and rename or move them around, as you dont have to keep scrolling down the pages because you only have 3. Stacks is magnificently good as if you have 50 cards open and you need to go through them all then stacks will make it easy and quick. I think that the editing software for editing pictures and videos is fairly good, but in the next update I certainly think that they should improve it.

Verizon will be getting the iPhone but I don't think it will be January. Sometime in the first quarter is the prediction. But you are right about people purchasing Apple products. Regardless of the products weaknesses, Apple seems immune to such claims; people just keep on buying this stuff. I believe a new hardware webOS phone and or webOS tablet would be a superior product to anything iOS. But only tech geeks would see that. 2011 is WebOS' year. Just wait and see.

I used to work for Palm, back when the Treo 650 came out and they were on top of the world. It's really sad to see where Palm is now just 5 years later. WebOS is great, but they seriously need a better hardware team. Pre 2 won't cut it.

IMO there is neither best of worst OS, it depends on your need. iOS and Windows Phone 7 sucks in my opinion because I need my phone to be highly accessable in anywhere I want. (The idea of iTune and Zune sync is plain sucks to user)

That's why I'll put Android, WebOS and Symbian on top 3 (for my need). I don't know about Blackberry because I never tried one.
