  • one time my dad fell in the garden, and all my doves did that laugh at the same time XD!!

  • This is the Eurasian Collared Dove that you get all over Europe and parts of western Asia. It looks similar the the African Collared Dove (aka Cape Turtle Dove) except the African Collared Dove has completely black eyes.

  • This is a Collared Dove

  • I feel so immature- here’s this really cute dove, and all I can think is that the end of it sounds like he’s farting. Repeatedly. And I’ve watch it two times. DX XD

  • When I saw the thumbnail for this, at first glance it looked like a steak on a grill...

  • So it's a mating call? lol my cousins dove did that and we got scared we were like whoa wtf creepyyy. Now I know :)

  • Spining on the top of the cage, laughing goofily !

  • my dove started laughing when it heard it!

  • Dumpert +1

  • Dumpert

  • Dumpert.

  • This is a collard dove and it's not a laugh. He seems distressed.

  • @Desertdweller7 what the fuck man... when you don't know what u're talking about, you shut the fuck up ... this Nini girl is my sister and she would do anything for her animals... he is able to fly, and if he was that much in distress, you would see him trying to escape... duuuuh...¬_¬

  • They are all the same, I have also tame ones. It's funny when they are shaking their wings and calling

  • is he an egyptian collared dove? Very pretty, in Scotland they're wild, never seen them as pets before

  • *jumps* HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHEHEHEHEehehehe.

    ...

    *jumps again* HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHEHEHEHEehehehee

    ...

    *jumps once more* Hee

  • i love bird

  • is it male or female?

  • Thats not a laugh, my doves make this sound when they want to get out of the cage.I've always observed.

  • I HAVE 5 OF THEM THERE ANOYING :C

  • My doves do that to HEHEHEHE

  • Weird yet funny?

  • Is "Yazoo" short for something, or did you name him after the character in Final Fantasy? LOL, 'cause that's the first thing I thought of...

  • WAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA

  • that is so cute my Dove do the same thing

  • Is that actually how it cooes?!

  • i have a dove 2 and i love it when it laughs like that i just dont like that it poops evrywere and it sings in the middle of the night >_>

  • What a good powerdisplay he does for you. He simply says "This is my territory and I'm big and dangerous!"

Seemes like you feed him well.. strong fella!

  • its a phone making that nose

  • strut, strut, strut, HOP, VOOVOOVOOOVOOOVOOO

  • 0:07 fart

  • although this would be awesome to hear during the daytime, i would have nightmares if i woke up to that from a dead sleep! lolz!

  • I've never heard a dove make that sound. How cute & funny!

  • He's laughing because he is farting and you dont notice while you film. Just joking, he is lovely

  • ._. I love their laugh...my dove, Willy, used do laugh at me, and do his bowing cooing..he passed away, sadly, I do miss him

  • lol I have 2 ring neck doves, so i was walking by their cage and I slipped on air (u know how that is) and i fell, and my male bird started laughing at me T^T

  • sounds like hes passing gas after....

  • My dove does exactly that. The first time I heard it I was like, "Who's laughing?"

  • aww soo cute! i want one so my parakeet can have another friend to talk to besides my canary.

  • Is this a territorial call? My dove does this whenever he/she lands on something, and did it even more when my lovebird decided to pick a fight with her.

  • Awesome!

  • My male tangerine ringneck dove (romeo) is wayyy more annoying he coo's from 5:00 in the morning untill 9:00 at night!

  • i like cats, birds, and reptiles

  • @airborne4lf dogs??? lol

  • i have 4 doves two budgies 2 dogs

  • loldove lols

  • birds are my favorite types of pet and dogs

  • Funny video. I think they do this to intimidate threats (or at least mine did, then it would attack). This would make a great prank video ala rickroll.

  • My dove has never made this sounds before :(

  • I have a pair as well! Except they don't coo in front of me, only to each other. (And to their mirror images :o)

  • I started laughing with him xD I just love that sound , it's hilarious!

I have parakeet with the same name lol :D

  • The bird farted at 0:07 xD

  • Gawd my grandpa used to have like twenty of these doves...it was a laughing party.

  • my father has like 10 of them in the backyard >__<

  • Oh it sounded so real and a very infectious laughter!

  • Hahaah OMG it actually sounds like it's laughing!!

    Whats so funny LOL

  • what kind of dove is it ? :D

  • hahaha, birds are just funny. There's just something very very funny about the way birds behave. lol. Well, except for Owls, they're not that funny, they're more scary.

  • I found a dove yesterday in my garden, it can't fly so i am taking care of it. But my family says to get rid of him as they fear about (SWIne FLu). I am especially worried because it does not make any sound. and it has got diarohhea. We had two doves at different times given birth in our front garden. I thought it's pregnant or maybe it's he. I need help what shall i do.

  • how do u no if its a girl or a boy?

  • they do that because the female wants to have sex so they do that untill the male starts the sex...

  • oh, i miss this sound so much! i used to own three! the first time i heard them laugh, scared the HELL out of me! i didn't know they did that. first thing i thought of were trolls in my room!!!! LOL! lovely lovely birds, though. thanks 4 posting.

  • when a dove makes a laughing sound like that that means they are angry I would know because I have doves of my own

  • i actually think it is a sign of aggression. i think they do it when they want to be left alone. so maybe when he jumped the sound of the cage may have scared him. idk. but its funny, and he is a really cute bird! i shud put up a vid of my parakeets being funny. lol.

  • O_O my god.... she scared me at first -b-but I like it :D! it's cute!! :D!!

  • So cute! my dove's going crazy trying to find out where the sound's coming from lol.

  • omg that looks like one of mine lol he needs a bigger cage and a mate

  • very strange coo. why is he doing that

  • Well that's the way he sings O_o there's no "why" here :P

  • @NiniChan20

Not singing, it's a mating call. Haha.

  • @alliby Whatever you wish to call it, it is what it is

  • @alliby

actually, its more like a greeting call... they do it when landing and when seeing something new

  • @NiniChan20 Great Video! However actually there is a "Why" Your dove is saying "This is my territory and only female doves are allowed on here"

So its kind of singing, mating call and war dance altogether. Every thing in nature has meaning! the thing is to try and understand it. They are very inteligent in their own right!

He looks happy! You should try get him a female haha

  • @rocksoliddude1 It's making the sound to intimidate an enemy.

  • @Onypop2 it took five months but i finally got an answer hoorah

  • @rocksoliddude1 Better late then never.

  • @rocksoliddude1 That's what ringnecks sound like along with a more classic coo! I rescued a homeless one and knew nothing about them when I found it. I found on YouTube that they "Laugh" but mine didn't! Months later it made this sound and everyone in the room started laughing! :-)

  • @rocksoliddude1 we have these all over the place in mexico :))

  • @rocksoliddude1

This isn't a coo. This laughing noise is a form of aggression. A warning to other birds. All ringnecks, male and female do this. This is a maile in this video, and he is basically marking his territory.

  • You should give your dove to a loving family and buy yourself a goldfish, they don't make any noise.... they would fit you more O_o

  • @NiniChan20 lol

  • @NiniChan20 Good point. Calling birds assholes because they're birds and make noise? That comes naturally for them. Definitely give the bird(s) to a home that loves it.

  • I have the same kind of dove, I wonder what it means when they do that, mine diden't start laughing till I put a toy in his cage.

  • Mine does this in front of the mirror. Funny.

  • Random question, but why'd you name him "Yazoo?"

  • I named him after a character of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children ;)

  • @NiniChan20 how do u train them to not fly around and fuck shit up?

  • @bryan0102 You don't "train" a dove, I didn't teach Yazoo anything, he's just acting like a dove, that's all. He's a bird, so he DOES fly around, duh!

  • @NiniChan20 I hope he has a species friend to play with, does he?

  • lmao thats soo cute and kinda creepa at the same time...

  • That's... serial killer laughter... O.O

    Lol, adorable bird!

  • Comment removed

  • It's more likely that they just sound like a lough to us. It's not like they're actually laughin I'd think.

  • 0:18 : Very nice !

  • 00:07 very nice^^

  • i know a dove that does that when she lands on our heads. lol

  • I always ask my doves "What's so funny?! What are you laughing at?" =)

  • lol my Ring Neck makes the exact same noise. he's albino though.

  • Sounds like he farts XD

  • what's he laughing at?

  • cool! i'ma copy his laugh. lol

  • belle oiseau nini:)

  • tu es jolie.

  • wow that has to be the funniest thing I ever heard, lol wonder when my dove will start doing that, she's still getting used to our home, but she started cooing recently. XD

  • I love this 'laugh'........

    Very pleasant

    Thanks for sharing.

  • my sister breeds these doves..they are called "African Ringneck Doves" or "the laughing doves....they come in pied and natural...Yazoo is a natural color while the pied was created from breeding

  • hahaha

  • haha my dove does that, you say jump and he jumps so adorable

  • lol you're funny

  • It's not fake, I have two such birds, and they make this sound, they also have a cooing sound. Maybe you should explore around some shops that sell Eurasian Collared Doves and ask them about the "laugh" they do..

  • lol can u buy doves in a pet store?

  • Some pet stores, yeah. It really depends on the pet store, though. One around here had them for a few weeks, then never did again. I got mine from a breeder, its much cheaper.

  • Sure ^^ That's where I got Yazoo ^^

  • Yazoo, you mean from the guy from FF7 advent children, what a cool name for a dove XD.

  • Haha yean it just came out when I bought him, so it was obvious I was going to call him like this :o)

  • Mine just learned how to laugh this week. He seems very proud of himself XD

  • lol lovely

  • It looks like Yazoo is laughing at something below him...

  • thats awesome check out my dove i video taped him laughing too

  • Where can I buy Laughing Dove? I want one too..

  • fckln BANG

  • i have the same bird lol my bird does the same thing

  • how do you tell the difference between a male and female?

  • nice bird..

  • do u train it like that or is it their call or sumthing?

  • The Ringneck Dove in this video is acutally just making this noice to say, this is my territory. Male doves will do this every-so-often. All Ringnecks make this noice, young or old, male or female, and are not trained to do it. ;)

  • LOLDOVE

  • I didn't know that doves can laugh.

  • does anyone know how to tell the difference between a female and male ringed turtle dove?

  • There's only one way : blood test at the vet. Since the testicules are inside of the dove's body, it's impossible just by touching to tell if it's male or female. If you don't want to go to a vet for blood test, you just have to suppose it's sex either if it lays eggs or not (still, there are some females that could lay eggs after 2 or 3 years of life, even older. so it's hard to be a 100% sure without the test) :)

  • This may sound stupid, but do they lay eggs without the male? I have had this bird for about 13 years. It showed right at my door around christmas, and was very tame.

  • Female doves can lay eggs without mating, but in such a case the eggs don't hatch.

  • Actually, did you know a all female birds will lay eggs every month? Ringneck doves lay 2 eggs twice a month, this, resembling a womens period. XD I know..gross, but true. When the female dove is about to lay an egg, if a male is available, she will mate, fertilizing the egg, simular to what women do. If the egg is not fertilized, it is just laid..or in out terms, we get our period.

  • actually they all coo but only boys bow-coo

    they also all laugh

  • Ummm, wrooong! Females can laugh, bow and coo too. I work in an clinic for exautic animals, and technicians agree on that : they do too ;)

  • Male and females look the same, but the best, and cheapest way to to tell them apart is to put 2 doves together, if it is a male and female, over time they will mate, male on top, the male may also, coo and bow coo to her continusly. If their are 2 males together, they will fight.

  • LMAO!Do they just do that normally?

  • yah i love my doves laughing

  • Thats cute :]

My dove Panchito laughs but he laughs differently but he makes the same lil noise at the end.

    ^^

  • its funny how they sort of "snort" at the end

  • Did you name your dove after the Yazoo character from Final Fantasy?

  • yup, exactly :) (Thought of Kadaj first, but he was too... umm... joyful to have such a name :) Yazoo sounds more like it ;)

  • It fits him perfectly.

    Hi, Yazoo. :}

  • Y'sure ya didn't feed that bird some POPPY seeds? LOL!

  • actually no, he's eating pellets (80% daily) live seeds (10%) (wiches mean "not dried", not walking seeds... I'm just saying, just in case T_T ) and vegetables/fruits everyday ^^

  • I already had a Laughing Dove, and she was soooo cute. Whenever i was putting my hands under her she was jmping right in the middle of my hands and begining singing in my hands... she was sooo cute... :'( i really love these birds, with their black crown on their neck

  • that can not be really

  • I had a ringneck dove that did that years ago. I miss that noise :( He actually used to do it as an aggresion sounds towards us or another bird..followed by a loud Coo.

  • My male ringneck dove Turkey does that then he flies away and comes back then does it again.

  • such a beautiful bird! I have an Albino Ringneck (cleverly named LadyBird). She laughs kinda like that. Doves are so beautiful. That laugh gets me everytime!!! Keep posting more vids, I can't wait to see the next one!

  • hahah!!

  • LMAO!

  • If you feel it's pelvic bones (just above its vent, you can tell the sex. A male's pelvic bones will be touching each other, or will be slightly separated (not enough for a finger to get between). A female; you will be able to get your fingers between the bones. The space is for an egg to pass through, just like a woman, the space is much larger.

  • RingNeck?

  • Ringneck, yes, but laughing one ^_~ (Quite obvious! Teehee!)

  • Very Silly !

  • this vid pisses my dove off lol

  • I love dovies! I have 2 white ones myself. A male and a female. The female laughs like an old lady - it's funny!

  • Same here, but the male died a year ago :( The female is old now and makes a cackle almost.

  • Where did you buy him?? Because I want a dove!

  • You have an awesome dove! Thank you for sharing.

  • my dove hasnt laughed yet..=(

  • How cute!!! so I just found a bird yesterday that I believe is a dove!! What do you feed them??

  • I've fed my dove wild dove seed from the pet store. I've had her for 12 years now. They also like greens. Go online to some dove care sites and get a list of the things that will be good for your bird!

  • dove or pigeon seeds

  • hey i just got 2 doves a couple days ago...but idk how to tell the difference between a male or a female...does anyone know how?

  • it depends on the specie... for ringneck doves, the only trick I've learned so far is the paw's color --> pale pink is female, darker pink (almost dark red) is male ^^

  • lol my dove laughs like that and he does the sound after he laughs ^-^ it's so cute, i always giggle when i hear it

  • Oh MY!

That is a funny dovie laugh!

Mine laugh as well...but they all laugh differently...

    Yours has a hilarious laugh!
