Definitely should have been grand prize. Awarding grand prize to the one that won seriously puts the judges integrity in question. Yes, I agree a lot of complex techniques were used but hey in the final analysis we want entertainment, not a training video.

Well.... It is really Good I loved the multicamming of the kids that worked really well.. I think what lost points is just after they go into the house it all becomes a bit hazy... i think getting the kids face in more for the 'maybe' would have been better... its quite fleeting and it could just be any kid dressed as a vamp.. also the 2st prize one has more FX which i think won it... humour is better on this one too :)

if i'm not mistaken on my interpretation about the ending, it's noticeable that the child with a vampire costume has been able to came out at the witch's house after the witch ate all his fellows. now, maybe the witch and the child has connivance with each other that the child will mesmerize children to go ito the house for the witch to have food...is it ryt???

the ending was confusing at first. i'm sure the kid was actually helping her eat children by trying to prove she's harmless...

but at first it seemed like she ran out of the house, or a scene was put out of place, and the kid was just wondering what might happen if he went in the house. if the old woman made gestures to the boy to go out of the house, or in the other instance the movie ends with the screaming, zooming out from the house, and then switching to the boy. with a blur transition.
